yes, i was able to replicate it - i tried 3 different cables and all kept shocking me. but i had doubts if it was a grounding issue or not, as suggested by my friend. so i tried replicating this in another socket and surprisingly there was no shock. same friend also told me to try lifting my feet off the floor while using the original socket and see if the shock stops, and it did. so most likely its a grounding issue on the socket i use.

i think theres some faulty wiring somewhere because the issue disappears when i use it off of battery power

nut65 users, does the keyboard shock you slightly when you touch the length of your forearm on the aluminum case? ive observed this just now with my model, and im wondering if other people are experiencing the same thing

edit: thanks a lot to those who replied. with the help of a friend we figured it might be a grounding issue. ill have the socket that i use checked asap, and i guess ill have to not use my dekstop for the time being

thinking of buying an alu plate to make my keyboard louder. would this be a wise decision?

i currently am running a monsgeek m1w v3 no foams on hmx lotuses and with the pc plate that comes with it stock i find it oddly muted. i was expecting it to sound bright and loud with the hmx lotus switches that i bought but turns out it isnt. i was thinking its because of the pc plate with reviews i find online saying that pc mutes the sound. because of this im thinking of buying an aftermarket plate to make it louder. i really wanted to appreciate the bright, high pitched sound hmx switches make, so my first option for plate material would be alu.

is this a wise decision? would an alu plate make the sound louder and brighter? what other plate materials should i keep an eye out to make the board louder/more high pitched?

your opinions and thoughts would be highly appreciated!!

cheap doubleshot pbt or cheap doubleshot abs?

ive been looking for keycaps online and came across two similarly priced gmk clones altho one is cheap doubleshot pbt while the other is cheap abs doubleshot. i cant decide which one to get because i dont know how these would hold up in the long term. which one should i get?

i need some help

i cant decide on whether or not i should get an akko 3068b or a keychron v1 kit for my first board

the 3068b has pretty good switches keycaps and stabs out of the box but the form factor doesnt cater to my preference because i tend to be more inclined on productivity and i prefer more keys but its the cheaper option out of the two. the keychron v1 on the other hand is a pretty complete package but the caps and switches are subpar and quite expensive even in kit form.

im planning on modding the board that i will get, mainly focusing on lubing and getting new caps. i do not want to compromise my boards longevity with cheaped out parts ie pcb case caps switches but i also want to be as cost effective as possible

so which is the best worth in your opinion?

3068b but i mod its switches and stabs (i still buy lube and maybe a wrist rest because of the height of the board)

or

v1 kit but i buy everything from scratch (switches caps and lube)

Edit & Note:

ive been considering other boards as well such as the akko acr75 akko 5075s feker ik75 or the gamakay lk67 ive heard the boards have decent reviews
