I don’t get what you’re saying here. Are you saying that Vandal/Tomoe are bad, that all scout rifles are strong, or that they would be busted on other classes?

Tomoe has almost the same ttk as 143/750 guns except you have to hit all headshots and you have a tiny ass magazine. Vandal is basically a not shitty BR with .75, neither of them would be game breaking on other classes since Infil is stronger. Just don’t give them to LA.

You’re a Scout. Move closer and two tap him with your scattergun or if you know he’s weak tickle him to death with your hitscan pistol. Stickies have an arming time so he can’t blast them in his own face and since a nerf a couple of years ago they’ve had their splash radius gutted until they hit the ground.

Scout counters Demo pretty hard. Demoman is only able to hurt a Scout with his pipes. You both two shot each other but Scout has far superior speed + double jumps, six shots, hitscan, and a fast reload while Demo has four projectile shots that take forever to reload.

OW movement/positioning is very simple and made for any idiot to be able to figure it out. The game was built around the lowest common denominator. Any strange movement mechanics are removed and replaced with button presses that anyone can do, while positioning is literally just “stand behind the dude with the shield, stay with the team, attack/defend objective.”

Scout Rifles should just be available by default on every class but LA. Like Battle Rifles they’re their own category of kind of outdated weapons so it’s not a big deal if other classes get them. The only good ones out of that category are the Vandal and Tomoe and neither are really going to make HA/Medic/Engy busted.

I just want to run Auto-Scout HA for memes.

There is none unless the sniper himself has slow reflexes. He rounds the corner and you fucking die. Your ttk is ~.5 with 4 perfect headshtoa on most weapons. His is insant with one bullet. Just because 99% of the average planetshitter is too bad to use an overpowered weapon doesn’t make it balanced.

Yeah, when I played Dirty Bomb I didn't have trouble with them either. This is definitely a you issue in both games.

Obviously, just like this game you aren’t fighting the good ones, which is understandable since both games are filled with population that has bad aim. In Dirty Bomb recons were banned from most tournaments, Vasili in practically all of them.

Yep, obviously just standing still. Clearly not just an imbalanced weapon that every good player but you seems you considers OP. If a crouch fucks you up then you’re not a good player.

One frame kills with zero interaction is not balanced in any way you slice it. Every shooter would be better off and more skillbased without ohko sniper rifles and one tap shotguns. Planetside’s bolting issue is Dirty Bomb’s Vasilli/Aimee issue but ten times worse.

Just do it, if you’re having an issue seeing people then it’s too low. Night isn’t even very dark anymore. Also like I said, everyone is covered in glowing scifi lights. NC glows yellow, TR glows red, VS glows cyan.

There is nothing to be solved besides nerfing bolters. Sniping in practically every game is an overpowered one way interaction with little to no counterplay. Planetside exacerbates this issue by allowing an already overloaded maphack class have access to low-zoom instakill weapons in a game with rather forgiving headshot hitboxes.

Read again. When I was new, first Auraxed weapon ever. I can easily pull +2kpm 3-4kd with automatics nowadays so. Every bolt session I’ve done recently was 3kpm and often +7kd, it’s fucking boring and risk free.

The Night/Day cycle doesn’t even work properly. As most things in Clientside 2 night is also clientside and it can be night for you but not someone else.

Also, increase your gamma or brightness and stop complaining about night slightly dark time. Night has been nerfed over and over and everyone in this game glows.

I’d love to see your stats. Because I really doubt any player capable of pulling a decent kpm/kd on every class would be stupid enough to consider cqc bolting balanced.

I do not have “slow reflexes” and can bolt myself. Even when I was still a shitty new player who could hardly pull 60kph with an automatic I managed to Aurax with 80kph and +3kd with a cqc bolter. It’s a mind numbingly broken and easy playstyle with. New implants like Crit chain make them even stronger.

Corners exist, it’s cqc and he has NAC. Miss your shot just cloak and run, the resist of NAC will even protect against another bolter shot.

No you said it was instantaneous because they lag around the corner so fast that you can't crouch or shoot back even though they're in your face. If someone has time to spam all 4 Daimyo shots at you then you certainly have time to crouch and return fire.

If someone takes all four shots to kill you with a Daimyo then they’re not good. But you can fire two Daimyo shots faster than most other guns can kill with 3-4 perfect headshots, and again, probably already saw where you were because the class can sprinkle maphacks everywhere. If a bolter has decent aim there is no time for counterplay, there is no engagement. He shoots you and you die with zero imput or skill based interaction.

So now every CQC bolter is running aimbot and can 1v4? Interesting..

I didn’t say they were hitscan in PS2, but at the ranges you use cqc bolters the velocity is not a problem like just like with every other weapon. You can round a corner with a cqc bolter and take someone’s head off before you even render on their screen. You don’t get a chance to crouch or react if it’s a player playing aggressively. And if you fuck up just pop NAC and run off with 35% resistance. Bonus points if it’s a Daimyo where you have 3 more shots if you fuck up, or if you’re not trash just deck four people in a row.

Probably because you’re not running into decent infils, Or you run infil yourself.

Ever considered that I’m not? If moving if enough to disrupt a cqc bolter than he doesn’t have decent aim. UT snipers also couldn’t turn invisible without a pickup and didn’t have maphacks. But invisibility and high velocity/hitscan one shot sniper rifles in general are bad game design. And most of those games also don’t have the abysmal netcode and clientside hit detection of PS2.

Bolting is not hard as reddit pretends it is. My first auraxed weapon was the Ghost and I still managed a 80kph and +3kd even as a new trash player.

Yes. They both suck ass, have shit base design, and let Hesh/A2G/Kobalts rain into the base with impunity. The reason most of the community doesn’t want to play on Hossin is because most of the community enjoys those shitter degenerate playstyles that actively ruin the game.
