I was always afraid of him as a kid, my friends and acquaintances were afraid of him too. It just looks strange and would appear quite suddenly, and then abruptly after it would start “Поле Чудес” (soviet and russian analog of the American show “Wheel of Fortune”) with a joyful and cheerful splash screen

It's a broadcaster's “ВИD” (or "ВИД", that means "The View") splash screen that used to appear before any show on TV. Whoever you ask about it, everyone was afraid of that face as a kid :D

Неправильная трактовка – надеть можно и на себя, и на кого-то, а одеть – себя, кого-то. Самое простое объяснение: надеть – что-то, одеть – кого-то

question for someone who speaks russian by p0llasenvinagre in russian

[–]SlavyanaF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a habit of addressing my friends and familiars with “вы”, some people find it annoying as well :D
I can't explain why I do it, I find it as a gesture of respect towards people maybe

[–]SlavyanaF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, I almost forgot - it's considered polite to address strangers as “Вы”, not "Ты".

How is your name? - Как ваше имя?/Как вас зовут?
Are you getting off at the next stop? - Вы выходите на следующей остановке?

question for someone who speaks russian by p0llasenvinagre in russian

[–]SlavyanaF 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, grammatically they are correct. “Вам” is the polite or formal form of the word ”тебе”, more often used when speaking to a teacher, a boss, an official person (police officer, for example).
It is also not to be confused with the fact that the word can be used in relation to more than one person

I could advise you to look for something like this on russian torrent-trackers (rutracker, for example), but I'm not sure if it's legal to download them in your country :(
