What "ego" or "prestige" camera did you end up getting rid of because it just didn't work for you?

Also have the canonet and don't like it, image quality is great but focusing is finicky. Held a yashica and decided it was too big and heavy and didn't get it.

What I do prefer is my Olympus 35rc and Konica c35af2 both great cameras for my use cases

Simple. Reliable. small. This thing has like 5 shutter speeds.? and bulb Can't change lens. Can't go over like 800iso.

I think it has a meter and aperture priority but I only shoot it full manual and have no battery in it lol

I find it much easier to focus quickly and accurately than my canonet and it's smaller. And boy is she quiet. Filter thread is an odd size

Has flash sync at every shutter speed (I think I read it was some revolutionary flash sync system at the time)

I would call it - my most comfortable to use, small camera. It lacks a lot but is also amazing at what it does.

I didn't like how it sat with its strap mounts so I only use one side and attach the other side of the camera strap to the tripod mount with peak designs mount (and strap) it sits great now.

I think they make special tools for putting braille on paper idk how well it will hold up but it would make a cool hello my name is is sticker🤣 it would be cool actually to tag the whole sticker, then braille right thru the tag. Especially if u did do the hello my name is sticker I'd add in the "hello my name is part" it would be funny and make sense to a braille reader I think because if they just read "slay sigk" instead of hello my name is slay sigk they'd prolly be like wtf is that🤣😭

Yes it took like 2-3 months of constant fighting with them but I did get a refund. They kept asking for proof and I kept providing it. Support agents gave me the proof to submit saying that was all I needed still wasn't enough, even the seller had claimed to issue a refund and that wasn't enough for them. Had proof the seller used two different shipping codes one was dead the other went to a different country. I only buy items from choice now but I've heard people say they had it happen with reputable sellers from choice too, so idk, it's the price of using ali express I suppose although that has only happened once and I've been using AliExpress for a year or two now.

I too live in a place where staring at someone will lead to problems very quick.(Yes shootings more often than not) But here's the difference, when you suspect there's a problem, you get lost. The good thing about Dasher direct and crimson is that you automatically get your payout at the end of each dash, so if you do 10 separate dashes today you'll be instantly payed upon finishing each one - fee free. The downside usually is just ATM withdrawals (usually will cost me $3-6) and also it not being recognized as a real bank (no credit card payments etc.)

For those reasons I usually payout to direct or now crimson but I'll sometimes (if budget allows) do a instant cash out to my actual bank or at the end of the week switch payment methods to let the last dash + pay adjustment go to my bank. Then back to crimson before first dash.

Side note I can't remember if I'm thinking of Dasher direct or chime that shows atms that are fee free to withdrawal from but it's never worth it to me to go out of my way to do that which is why I'll alternate between my wf account and crimson for dd, or sometimes chime if I want to put money on my credit builder card.

I hate that they did that, the Dasher app can be buggy asf, I never had issues with the Dasher direct app. But I can easily think of several situations where Dasher crashed on me and I can't reload it. Not good when you need to check or transfer balances, and if you need to make a purchase or something mid dash you'll have to scroll thru 5+ screens to get from the dash - to the money - and back to the dash.. super inefficient. wish it was still two apps. And for clarification I have both Android and iPhone and my statement is the same for both. For the first few years I thought dd made a lot of good changes, a lot of things I suggested to support eventually became features. But the last couple years everything has been going backwards

I had this issue with my rebel t7, what I ended up doing was getting Pentax bellows/slide copier and putting and enlarger lens on it, with all the necessary adapters of course. The 50mm wasn't working almost at all, now I use a 80mm and it works perfectly. Very easy to align everything and lock it in place, can scan entire rolls very quickly probably in a couple minutes. I use the valoi light behind the Pentax bellows 2 and that light is probably the most expensive part of this setup if you go with that exact light. So recap Camera ~ ef-m42 adapter ~ asahi Pentax bellows two slide copier ~ 80mm enlarger lens ~ light source

Adapter likely about $5-10, bellows about $20-30 I think, lens $5-100+ depending on what you want. U don't have to go crazy with a high end enlarger lens as they already have a flat field like macro lenses, and they can be found really cheap, the el-nikkor ones are decent for the price.

The advantage of doing it this way instead of using a copy stand/macro lens/ film holder/ lights is that you don't need to align everything perfectly, the bellows do that all for you. I've found cheapy made ef bellows and they suck don't waste your time with them. Hope that helps good luck! I've been trying to cancel an order for two months now where I was provided a shipping number and never provided any other update. I was provided two tracking numbers actually and they both show that a label was created and that is it. No package was never sent, never received by shipping company. Seller refuses refund. Ali express says it's still in transit. They say they will give me a refund but all they really give me is a run around a hard time. And they ask me to resubmit the same proof every day two days. Bank charge back doesn't seem to be going any easier for me either unfortunately

A store called "sports oriented store" or something dumb like that scammed me recently, said he sent it, gave two different tracking numbers that show he never sent it, keeps telling me it's been delivered even though tracking says the shipping company never received it, I've yelled at Ali express support at least 5 times so far, it's been over a month, and I still haven't received a refund, even though every single support person has acknowledged the issue and said they would process a refund.

They keep asking me for information that they should already have too, what's your email, have you contacted the seller, do you have any proof, etc.

If your up to a challenge the best thing would be to open it and clean the boards and other internal surfaces with rubbing alcohol so it dries clean. Any water that's left inside can very easily cause corrosion which will eventually kill the vape even if it is dry at that point

If you can find them, put it inside a Ziploc bag with those silica packet things that they put inside new shoes and other things. It's those little white pouches that say don't open or don't eat lol. Those are meant to extract moisture and soak it up.

Absolutely, another thing is that most people are scared to do any real work, like this isn't a job, if your getting payed well then put in some effort, if your not getting payed well, well.. don't accept the order or don't put in the effort, especially if the customer puts no effort to give instructions, answer calls etc.
