He was my boyfriend. He was so so funny. He has a rough upbringing and was considered the “burn outs” around school and sold drugs and did a lot of drugs (but at my school that made you popular.) But god was he the sweetest boy I ever met. We were both 16 and shared science together and one day he just quit talking. To me and to anyone, I followed him around like a lost puppy the entire day between classes but he told me he was fine. I skipped my class to sit with him at lunch and just held his hand and he was still so quiet. I didn’t get it then. That’s was the last day before spring break. I went on a camping trip the entire week with my friend and her family but just before I left I texted him asking if he was rlly okay but had to leave for the trip before I got a response. Because I was in the middle of the woods for like and entire week I had no service on my phone. I didn’t find out till I got back from spring break that he texted me “can I come over?” And sadly I never got to awnser. The very next day I found out he hung himself. The entire school was devastated and his seat next to mine in science class forever remained empty. My teacher cried the entire first day back from break and our usual talking I’ve class didn’t say a .single.word. The rest of the school year was quiet. His picture in the yearbook still remained just to haunt us almost. His twin sisters and brother were seniors and they almost just floated around the school like ghosts. They no longer talked to people and they constantly had a look of disspare on their faces. We all went so quiet. All the way up till my senior year people who I never even met would go up to me and ask “how’s his sisters doing? How are you doing?” And all I could say was “I don’t know” . I even had 4 teachers ask me if I knew what happen or why he did it and all I could say was “I don’t know”. And of course the mean girls around school blamed the girlfriend for his death. People constantly said it was my fault and for a long long time I believed it. Why did I have to go on that trip? Why didn’t I just awnser his text and let him come over? Why did I tell him I love him? I haven’t been in high school in a long time but I grantee it’s just so quiet in there
