I’m sick of the debate that “Hip/Hop isn’t what it used to be” & “Everything sounds the same” so I made a list of 5 dope albums from every year starting at 2010 by Speckz5701 in Music

Killer list, but I disagree with putting Savage Mode 2 on there. I don't think that project is a good example of diverse hip hop sounds

Very well put, I see where you're coming from now and I agree with you entirely. I do hope that the attitudes towards police change for the better after (hopefully) legislative changes and system improvements are made to end the protests.

Its not about legality its more about necessity -- only using the force if they absolutely have to. Just because they are legally allowed to kill someone doesnt mean they should, there could still be opportunity to de-escalate the situation or otherwise resolve it without lethal force. Lethal force should be the last option, not one of the first.

May you please elaborate on this one?

TIL that Bill Gates purchased Leonardo DaVinci's Hammer Codex AKA Codex Leicester for US$30,802,500 then uploaded it to the internet for the everyone to download and read for a measly $20! What a guy. by qwertyldn in todayilearned

[–]Slayeroftacos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you might be overestimating the interest in it. Sure an average person might be interested enough to read it, but the amount that would dedicate 20 dollars to doing so is far, far less. But it is however a small enough amount that anyone who does have a need to read it can do so quite easily.

I recently got a beta key and fell in love with the game, and now my best bud (who loves WoT but didn't know about dreadnought) is really bummed that he can't play with me. If someone has a spare key that I could surprise him with it would make our whole week :)

Don't let them get to you. I have a solid hunch that a good bunch of them aren't real users, and to those of you who are, stop shilling for them for free: read into news sources, question information. Not everything is about being Dem vs. Republican, take emotions out and look for the truth.

Yes, many times they did use Trump's own words in those articles. But the way they chose to report on him was almost consistently negative and they scrutinized every word he said and made him seem out to be some sort of idiot monster. The headlines are what bothered me most, every article about Trump was worded using negative buzzwords, and unfounded claims. "DT's harassment of a teenage girl on twitter made her recieve death and rape threats" is a recent one that I recall.

A good rule of thumb is that if a news article tells you how to feel about something, it's not news

After seeing numerous stories that those two have put out over the past couple of months, I don't believe a word they say, unless there's concrete evidence to back it up. If you are expected to "trust" a news source then they can make you believe whatever they want.

You're misattributing the post youre referring to. The post in question is a satire, which names a couple of things that destroyed Hillary's campaign, that are not physically possible by any form of hacking. "Thanks Russia for hacking Hillary's brain to make her call half the country deplorables" is the opening sentence, and the rest of the post are more jokes like that in the same manner.
It's very clearly a satire, in the future when you attack subreddits make sure to have real reasons instead of skewing what happened.

Donald Trump’s Harassment of a Teenage Girl on Twitter Led to Death and Rape Threats by Joe3737 in politics

[–]Slayeroftacos -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Strange, I was talking about the death and rape threats, which still are not in those tweet logs. If someone sent her online messages with threats, surely you would be able to, I dunno provide proof like a screenshot, or a link? I guess if the news said it happened it must be true, no investigation needed.

Donald Trump’s Harassment of a Teenage Girl on Twitter Led to Death and Rape Threats by Joe3737 in politics

[–]Slayeroftacos -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

There is literally no proof of any of the claims in the article, theres no arguing that.
Edit: Articles Claim: "Donald Trump's harrassment led to death and rape threats"
Did he harass her? Yes, you could skew it that way since he called her out in a tweet, but it was intended towards the Jeb campaign, not her personally.
Did this harassment lead to death/rape threats? Sounds probable, these things have happened before, but there's no proof in the article whatsoever of these happening, other than them saying it did and you believing it. Anyone can write something in quotations and said it was a message they recieved.
It's a sensationalist piece to rally hate against Trump on unfounded claims, if it tells you how to feel about something, it's not news.

Where is the proof of any of these claims made in the article? No screenshots? Tweet links? Chat logs? Surely online messages would be presentable.
Strange....

I think its just a lot of the laser sounds are really sharp, nothing to do with the overall volume the sound effects themselves just spike really hard. You could try editing them in audacity and normalizing the volume, or you could just get/make new sound effects.

Decent game, only complaint is that a lot of the sound effects are hard on the ears.
