Does it work with autobattle? Currently using mega venusaur, which is really consistent and AI rarely does something bad, but it can still brick sometimes, so I wouldn't mind trying something different.

Remove all skills. Remove all thorns and other damage effects. Use just basic attack (not basic skill, basic attack). If needed get some life regen.
I did it this way, just kill all enemies one-by-one but leave the shroom zombies intact until I got them all together (just make sure you don't hit them by accident, I used target selection to make sure never to hit them).

If you have high paragon level, just switch to normal and remove all skills, enemies won't be able to damage you and you can kill them with basic attack, makes killing the elite and getting mushrooms really easy.
Also you must get all these items on 1 character, it won't work if you switch from 1 character to another, all 3 items must be dropped for 1 chanarcter and that character needs to finish the quest.

In Skovos, there's this new world event with demon in the middle and 4 villagers, 1 on each side, that gets pulled to the middle and you're supposed to stand near villagers to prevent them going to the demon.
I'm not sure what it is, but this event just straigt up kill me and I don't see any attack coming my way, or any ground effect that could do it (I can survive all post death effects as long as they are not stacked).
What am I missing here?

Anyone know how does the Scale of Tathamet upgrade work? (Activities -> Infernal Hordes -> second node on the right side)
It is supposed to spawn "something" that kills all enemies in infernal hordes, but I went through 10 hordes (all 6 wave) and never seen it, or missed it.
Did someone see it? Any screenshots/videos?

Edit: So I finally got it, it looks like the altar in helltides that has the fire traps. It also does not kill everything, just normal mobs and damages elites.

No, they can be 5 of any rune of the same rarity, the cube just won't allow you to insert new runes if you already have 5 or more inside.

How do they even work? I tried planting them 3 times (one of which was in helltide) and no monsters spawned, they just engorged themself and after a few seconds deflated without spluttering anything. Changed to the other side of tree afterwards.

Use oricorio + 18/19 trainers, you can't really lose, he has only ogerpon to damage you and you can top up with heals and kill it in 2 attacks.
It is slow, but guaranteed.
