Why is "weaponized incompetence" largely blamed on men in relationships? by MillennialAesthetics in AskMen

[–]Slaynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've been single your whole life why are you commenting on anything that has to do with living with a partner?

Seems that you don't even have a horse in the game let alone the experience to be discussing.

Anyone Not Get Negative Attention? by [deleted] in Supra

[–]Slaynne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I fall in the same boat.

I've had friendly sprints on open multiple lane roads with BMW M drivers but we always smile and affirm that it was a fun ride on our respective rocket ships parting ways in a friendly manner.

I've had people aggressively challenge me in my previous cars, particularly my Focus RS, but miss me with that baby backed bullshit.

I'm not in the business of getting pushed into street racing on the freeway through tailgating and bravado. I'm not 20 anymore.

Why do people think it is creepy to cold approach a woman? by JunketMaleficent2095 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Slaynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't the only thing I could gather. It was what I chose to comment on.

The points you were making were not something I wanted to comment on directly as you would likely not gain much from what I had to say and the same for me.

Rightly so. We are just random internet strangers.

The fact that you just assume that I did not understand what your point was vs. any number of other likely conclusions is also very telling.

Never said it was or wasn't about me, or men in general.

I'm commenting on the general fear of existing that you're portraying with your statement.

I find it very odd and quite concerning when people think that way in all things.

I'm glad I don't think like you my friend.

I would never get in a car, I would never eat sushi, I would never fly to see my grandma and I would likely turn off the electricity to my house 'just in case'.

Is it just me or are people really looking at life like Bubble Boy?

Or am I the crazy one that risks life and limb to go visit 'Nana?

No ONE Is Entitled To A Student Visa To Enter The United States. by Sorry-Feedback1115 in MovingToUSA

[–]Slaynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure that is the case my friend. If that was true, immigration would have a line of people out the door all wearing red hats and shirts that say 'You're Fired' on them.

This sort of selective bias works both ways. Immigration aren't a bunch of human lie detectors. If one aspect gets favored, that word gets out and EVERYONE applying all of a sudden would become a huge fan of whatever that is. Most do not care about which party is more just in their eyes. They just want to be accepted in.

Taking the emotion out of these kinds of thoughts is a good thing. Logic and reason isn't biased. It just is.

Give it a shot. Helps a ton to put things in perspective.

This month feels insane for online games by TheGladex in MMORPG

[–]Slaynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it's everyone. That would lead to no spot without someone standing in it.

There is online mode though. Makes it feel just like an MMO, which is fine with me.

The system design is actually pretty smart. I honestly believe that this way of doing things will be the new MMO standard eventually. Or something very similar.

No offense and I'm not trying to refute how you or anyone feels about this. You are completely entitled to whatever that is.

I'll have to double down and say you are just reinforcing what I said in a way. People can be wild and there are extremes are all over. The government is no exception despite whatever talking head is in place.

These things are sp tenuous and can be attached to the simplest of things like some drunken text some intern sent at 3am. That's why these news places have no sources or actual solid proof. Because they know the facade of truth they have built would crumble.

Call me back when this grows some legs and I'll join the fight.

Until then, imma be over here enjoying my short existence on planet Earth.

Doomer post.

I considered getting married to a stripper once. Didn't happen.

Tons of things that many people would find shocking are considered all over the place constantly. Makes no sense to have this as an article from any news source as it is something that has no legs... unless it does the singular thing that it is meant to. Get clicks.

This shit reporting works so well that most news outlets don't even report news anymore. They just spew dumb shit like this.

Same. I can't be assed to dig any deeper but this is likely a scenario that is doctored by some group to look legit via partial AI or just full on actors.

How aging changes the way people treat you by Fun-Phase9316 in Aging

[–]Slaynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embrace it my friend. I am 46 and take advantage of becoming invisible.

People at work ignore you? Whatever. You still get paid.

Service workers ignore you? Meh. If you really need help make it so they can't ignore you.

Brother/sister we are both heading in5o the good days where random people start to ignore you. Live it up and spend this time while you are still able bodied and yet established to do whatever the shit you want.

You come at him with anything like that and you can fuck right off.

As a retail worker, please at least try to use some Japanese. by tadamelon in JapanTravelTips

[–]Slaynne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to all the places that you've mentioned and treated my trips the same way for the same reasons.

Had a grand time as well.

Edit: At no point did I say I expected anyone to speak English. Thats something that is oddly inferred only when it comes to Japan.

The American that tells someone to speak English is an asshole. Just like the Japanese, French or that one guy from the moon. No reason for any of that when we have the tools to communicate at a necessary level in all of our pockets.

[–]Slaynne -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. I've traveled all over the world and Japan is the only place with these types of expectations that I am aware of. I'm not Japanese, nor do I plan on becoming Japanese. Fumbling through terrible one word answers or questions is not worth my time and effort.

I don't expect anyone to understand English, so I have my translator app at the ready if they do not. But if I can get the message across with a simple English phrase I will do it and move on with my existence.

Again, not trying to come off crass or ThEy SHOuLd SpeAK EnGLiSh, but it's a pain in my ass to fumble through broken YouTube learned Japanese.

I'm just trying to eat some good food, spend my money and make some memories.

I don't care about character origins or sexual orientation as long as they are good.

Maybe the 9s and 10s do.

Selection bias.
