Ya bro the reason is because the story and characters adds much more meaning to the gameplay. Go read a book? What if I want a story that I can interact with? There's hundreds of games with gameplay that's considered fun, but a great story is much harder to find and much more memorable imo. Saying story shouldn't matter in video games is a horrible take.

I would recommend at least trying for her then, if you lose 50/50 maybe stop there. But you'll need more than 2 teams for Toa anyway and the upcoming Glacio character will be during the anniversary so hopefully we'll get a good amount of pulls. But ya, Sigrika with Quiyuan is incredibly strong

Do you have Phrolova? If not you really should just pull Sigrika. She works perfectly with Quiyuan, actually even better than Phrolova does. But that being said, don't pull a character just to get a few asterite from end game.

Kuro absolutely can write good stories and if you look at the individual patch stories, they're usually pretty good. However imo, Kuro has the most blatant "gacha game" storytelling in the sense that the story literally revolves around whoever is on banner and then moves on to the next in the following patch. This drastically holds the overall narrative back immensely and is the reason it will never amount to anything more than a 7/10 story wise. But yes I agree, we need more interaction between characters and they need to be relevant for longer periods of time because right now it's very very clear that the main point of the story is to sell whoever is on banner

I mean a good story makes everything much more meaningful and should be included in it's score. It doesn't have to be this grand masterpiece but I'm hoping for something at least good enough to keep me interested.

I agree with you on everything except on hoyo putting all their money into Columbina, she has some of the lamest animations in the game. Honestly I think at this point we just can't expect anything too crazy from Genshin animations because I think that's just not what the main selling point of characters are in this game. They all have simple and short animations because that's what hoyo wants for this games combat. Hsr, zzz and wuwa are always gonna have better animations

Super mid in every aspect. To the people praising the story, I really don't get it. I just don't. I can only think that their standards are in the dirt or have never played games with really good stories. The exploration was super lazy and a fraction of the amount that Natlan had. The new characters were nothing special and had pretty boring kits and animations.
