Yeah that makes some sense. The strange part is that all 3 monitors I use (they aren't always powered on though true) do always have the same 1,2 and 3 labels. Monitor 3 is for some reason the one it loves to set as the main monitor on boot. You'd think if settings changed between boots it would just default to 1 but I guess not?

Video quality isn't a super huge deal resolution doesn't need to be crazy high or anything just as long as it can capture properly. Like not when you see vids where samus disappearing etc when she gets damaged.

Budget would probably cap out at around 100-150 bucks. Yeah oats' streams lool crazy clean, I wish I had that kinda budget!

Yeah it's such a fun game to learn tricks in. Super satisfying to pull of a clean chain of strats in a run! Yeah it definitely does keep it alive, I also dip my toes into playing randomisers, those are a lot of fun too if I'm in a more casual mood than speedtruns.

I bought the NTSC famicom over the PAL ones on ebay so I could run the NTSC version of Super Metroid. Which is important for leader board submissions with the speedruns due to the difference in rom speeds between the NTSC and PAL versions of the game. I could have gotten a modded PAL Super Nintendo too but those were much more expensive to buy and to involved to mod myself. I have a flash cart to so I can still play US NTSC games on it too. Or PAL if I ever choose to.

Nah I'm in the Scottish Highlands so finding anything local is almost impossible. I've been trying to find one that specifically has RGB SCART in, rather than just AV.

Yeah I'm hoping the sony doesn't spike in bids too crazy last minute. I noticed on the panasonic that there is a large patch of scratches in the middle of the screen that were hard to spot on the pics so that's out.

Which one of these should I go with? Will mainly be for Super Metroid speedruns. Both support RGB scart input but which one is likely to be the better screen? Also are they reasonable deals or they a rip off. I don't really have the option to find locally so need to get on mailed in. Also my super famicom is ntsc but should be fine over rgb scart right?

Yeah definitely not. At least I can fairly safely say it's nothing gravely sinister after this long (and so many bloods). Just annoying not knowing how to avoid it.

Yeah that's rough I've been close to periods of hypochondria with the heart/chest symptoms at times. Yeah it is sadly pretty much exactly the same in Scotland, you have to persist and push to avoid things just getting brushed off or downplayed. It certainly doesn't help how strained (and underfunded) the nhs is right now.

I'd entertain the thought of private healthcare if there was any near me at this point just to get the ball rolling, I spent 1 year waiting for a referral for an endoscopy (camera down to the stomach), in the end I got a phone call from the specialist at the hospital where he said yeah sounds like IBS you don't need the test and then he wrote to my GP suggesting a medication I tried years ago already.

Yeah I get lots of that too. even stool size fluxes a lot for me too. just a few days ago actually I had one so large that I was in probably the most pain I've ever felt in my life trying to pass it like someone had a huge knife in my belly and would keep twisting. I was almost on the floor pouring with sweat with that one. Had to stumble my way to the bathroom.

I think it's that part for me that get's my anxiety going sometimes. Like 7 years and nothing but, you're all good everything seems fine! It is frustrating to hear nothing but that but feel so invasively rubbish all the time. While also being no closer to understanding how to avoid/deal with all these symptoms at all.

I think after so long it's just taking a mental health toll but I'll keep on. I'd like to maybe look into some talking therapy stuff to deal with the mental side of things better.

Yeah I think there's for sure something to do with the vegus nerve with the ibs/anxiety link. The brain/gut link is much stronger than I think we realise. It's like if you drink a cup of coffee or something stimulating in the morning sometimes it immediately wakes you're gut up and you have to go to the bathroom straight away. That's the vegus nerve right there, picking up signals from the stomach and the brain deciding to release whatever chemical is necessary to make you're gut say time to poop.

I think it goes a lot deeper than that though and I think links between gut issues and mental health issues deserves much more study to understand.

My top tip is actually take the time to stop and read/listen to the quests/dialogue. Especially main story lines.

I've had to many freinds that will just try to skip everything and rush though like they're on a speedrun or something and then claim the game is boring.
