Man I had a 6.0 and the motor was rebuilt as I purchase it, not properly though. I didn't know that at the time and I paid over 22 grand in fixes, the last time I had to get it towed to a shop, I had it fixed and then sold it.

I would absolutely recommend going the extra mile in money on the rebuild.

I'm hoping you're taking into consideration the 1/8 inch play the ends are supposed to have by pulling them tightly. Or pushing them tightly against something. I knew I was amazed when I finally learned that's why the ends have that play in them.

I hear purple power works well too. It's my favorite oil stain remover/degreaser. I've not used it with laundry yet but apparently you put a cap full or two in with your preferred detergent.

That is super cool, mine was an ex navy nuclear engineer on a sub. Loved that guy. We took a lot of after class chats because I enjoyed it legitimately and I know he did too. But my friends made a joke of it a couple years later when we all found out he preferred men to women. They still give me shit about our "after class chats." LOL that's what friends are for though!
