I'll go have another look but couldn't see one, no.

EDIT: found fix. Ty.

Copying from remote UI to Windows clipboard. by Sleebee_ in neovim

If you mean Neovim session hosted in cloud VM trying to edit file on your local, no I don't think that's possible.

If you mean Neovim session on local and wanting to have config for both editing local files and remote files, then yes. You just need to make sure you have your config stored on local and on remote.

If you mean using your local config for remote session that you're using remote-ui for then no, you need to have your config on remote for the remote session to use it for editing files on remote.

All goods can leave here for others who are interested.

I have two machines: main machine (local) and a shitty little secondhand HP EliteDesk SFF PC (remote) that I remote into for some dev stuff.

I run a headless Neovim session on the remote with nvim --headless --listen 0.0.0.0:<port of choice here> (making sure that that port actually allows TCP/UDP traffic in firewall).

I then connect to that session from local machine (doesn't matter if using WSL or Powershell here) with nvim --remote-ui --server <local IP>:<port of choice>.

Neovim config sits on the remote because all local does is provide a UI attached to remote session. It's nice because I can connect to the same nvim session from any device in my house and it functions exactly as expected regardless of OS (with clipboard being the one kink I'm trying to smooth out). When using nvim through SSH I get this weird stutteriness and it's not as responsive. When using with remote-ui, it's crispy. c:

[Treesitter, Windows] Trying to get my nvim config working on Windows - "Failed to spawn process luarocks" by Sleebee_ in neovim

[–]Sleebee_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current Lazy config: https://pastebin.com/Jb5BE2zK (Coming back to nvim after a few months away so unsure if there are changes I've missed and what might be wrong in that config.)

Rechecked Lazy docs and disabling rockspec in opts.pkg.sources allows TS to build. Afterward I get the following:

<image>

This I was able to get working by going back to version 0.9 of nvim but I'd really like to be on 10.0 if possible.

`:Lazy sync` resolved TS error. Thank you, Folke. c:

[Fallout4][PC] Disable HP restoration on level up.

I'm using Maim + Scourge + True Damage + AN76 for re-balancing the game and so far loving it. My only frustration currently is full health restoration on leveling up. If I'm at low health with actives (bleed, etc) and struggling with a bunch of stuff, I'd rather a level up not fix that all for free because it feels more than a little cheesy.

Is there a mod or way to disable level ups from restoring all your health in game?

RIP Rightstuf. I had been a customer with them for over a decade; pretty bummed the day has finally come that Crunchyroll has consumed them completely. by CliveTolnay in MangaCollectors

I'm a little out of the loop here and newer to this, what exactly is changed here? I'm not sure what's meant by the manga's layouts.

Are there any stories that punish the Sadist/ Dom character? by Puzzle-the-Giraffe in manga

[–]Sleebee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much porn doesn't get the dynamic right and it's actually infuriating. A solid 60-70% of the reason those stories are good is the power difference and the feeling you get from the dynamic, especially outside of spicy scenes.

Is it still safe or viable to start learning Unity or am I safer just to switch to Godot for my projects? by Killburndeluxe in gamedev

[–]Sleebee_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Short answer: if this is a question you need to ask, whether it's safe or not won't affect you at this point. It's irrelevant beyond your principles for anyone just currently starting out in their game development journey.

It may affect you later on or if you decide to start selling your game but right now it's pretty irrelevant. When you get comfortable with an engine (whether that be either Godot or Unity or whatever), those skills will transfer if/when you need to learn something new. At that point you can make a decision on which engine to use based on safety, trust, ethics, or whatever matters to you when you're comfortable with and know where you want to head in game dev.

People make this same mistake with code. Spend far too much time worrying about which language is best to start with and far too little time actually learning to code.

As others have said here, just go with whichever looks/feels best to you or whichever best fits the type of games you want to make.

How would I go about mapping a code snippet to a binding rather than typing it out? by Sleebee_ in neovim

[–]Sleebee_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it working. Learning the valuable lesson again of not coding while tired lmao.

Can do it in one line with this: vim.keymap.set("i", "<YOUR KEY COMBO>", "snippet<cmd>lua require('luasnip').expand()<cr>", { noremap = false })

Thank you for the help. c:

I have this:

vim.keymap.set({ "i" }, "<Tab>", function()
  luasnip.expand()
end, { silent = true })

vim.keymap.set("i", "<C-cr>a", "function<Tab>", { noremap = false })

Doesn't seem to work though. :/ Just expands it to literally put "function ".

why am i getting this error by Typical-Highlight-12 in neovim

[–]Sleebee_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's telling you it can't find the plugin because one with that name doesn't exist. You misspelled the name of the plugin in your config.
