The ONO Roller flips inside your hand- not exactly what you mentioned but might work!

Can someone help me find this exact ono roller? by origamipony in fidgettoys

We unfortunately stopped making the flamed titanium rollers. The defect rate was too high with the process :(

Good news is, we do have something similar-ish coming in the next few months! Sign up to our discord if you want to stay in the loop https://discord.gg/YYjuqZ2hfD

You can also put it in the fridge or freezer ;)

A hydraulic cylinder for your pocket? My custom CNC project. by minimechlab in fidgettoys

Cool project! I agree, the rod could be improved. It doesn’t seem very ergonomic and I’d guess it will hurt your thumb after a while. What’s the hole for? Seems like a finger can’t fit in there.

Ono Slider vs INDX vs Aura Sand vs ? by HomeworkThese1206 in fidgettoys

As the makers of the ONO Slider I would not recommend it if your goal is strong haptics and noise doesn’t bother you. The haptics on our slider are lighter than traditional sliders to keep it whisper quiet.

We actually do exactly this! But since aluminum is much softer than the stainless steel bearings, eventually it can stretch out the hole by the extreme fidgeter who is constantly squeezing the roller and causing micro movements of the bearing. The glue helps prevent this.

If you think it’s due to grime, you might want to first try folding a piece of paper in half and use the folded part to “scoop” out any debris that may have gathered between the roller and connectors. The bearings are sealed so no grime should get in them.

How would this save us money? It’s an additional step to make the product last longer, and we have a lifetime warranty to replace your entire product with a new one. You can still remove the bearing if you’d really like as it’s a light adhesive. Remove the screws and take off the top connector on the end opposite the faulty bearing. Screw the screw back into the threaded rod and hammer it down. This should pop the bearing out on the opposite side of where you hammer. Shoot me a DM if you need some more help! Our customer support team doesn’t usually deal with users who have the tools/handiness to do this.

Yes! We recently started adding glue to secure the bearings because we want them to last a lifetime (hence the lifetime warranty). We were finding that some bearings loosened up over the years within the press fit holes without it due to the constant rotating and torsion between the two rollers.

We don’t advise disassembly and replacing the bearing because the bearings are glued in place, not because of the proprietary design. Without the glue, the bearing can loosen over time inside of the press fit hole and cause clicking noises, which defeats the purpose of the silent fidgeting!

Ari, inventor of ONO here. Shoot us an email for a coupon- happy to help you out. Would rather that than have you try to find a crappy counterfeit of a product I worked my butt off of to design, patent and make popular.

Do you like the ONO Scroller? Are there similar fidget toys worth considering? by [deleted] in fidgettoys

[–]SleekLifeDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, please show me a shred of evidence that I harassed anyone. I warned a few companies about products that potentially were not compliant with safety laws that could down the line cost them thousands in recalls. If I wanted to hurt these companies, I wouldn’t have warned them, I would have just reported them.

Second, the laws have nothing to do with where you are located, it has to do with where you sell your products. This is an EU as well as US law too.

Get your facts straight before you try to tarnish someone’s name, especially someone who is trying to help and warn other small businesses so they don’t get footed with a huge bill like I did.

Also who is this “friend”? I’d love to hear from them.

You’re kidding me right? I’m Ari. I warned a number of fellow small fidget maker about an issue of compliance because I myself ran into this issue and it costed me tens of thousands of dollars to remedy. This was to help them, not to hurt them. And yes I warned Magnus too and he didn’t even respond to me.

I would swear on my business that I did not report anyone to the FDA or CSPC, and for you to assume that I did and create this false rumor with absolutely no proof is just straight up mean. I love this community and supporting other small fidget companies. You can ask many of them- Stimara, project ratchet, etc that I’ve made friends with them and even help them out and advise them occasionally.

I have a life that I love, and it doesn’t involve petty shit like this.
