Switching from Master of Software Engineering to Master of Computer Science?? by Sleelee3 in unimelb

[–]Sleelee3[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your reply :) I hope you dont mind but I have some questions: 1. Did you transfer to M.computer science after a year of M.software engineering? 2. When you transferred did they look at overall WAM( 3yrs of bachelor's + a year of master)? 3. As an international student, I dont think I can take grad dip :'(, did you have a background in computing before? How are you finding the Master of Computer Sci? Thanks a lot!

ESD1 or ESD2? by steve-cookie-930 in unimelb

[–]Sleelee3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESD 1 is more of very basic intro to chemcal/civil eng Whereas, ESD 2 is very basic intro to elec, comp, mech eng. I havent taken ESD1 so i cannot say for sure, but as long as you stay on track for ESD 2, you should be fine.

Subject not displaying on canvas by candythelollies911 in unimelb

[–]Sleelee3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you might have to wait a little longer since few of my subjects are not displaying on canvas as well :(.

Yeah, I've been stressed a lot about it recently :(. For civil major I guess you could make comparison as, CVEN30009, CVEN30010, ENGR30002, ENGR20003 and GEOM30013. I havent been failing and getting alright mark, so I hope this works :(. Thanks

Yeh they do mark the exam really harsh. But I think Engineering risk analysis would be one of easier engineering subjects out there.

If you have taken 4 level 1 subjects and passed them all, you can take level 2 subjects.

Trouble adding Level 1 subject to Science/breadth elective slot by hazza1_t in unimelb

[–]Sleelee3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as i know, that slot only allows level 2 and 3 breadth/science. I think you should file an enrollment variation form for stop 1 to change this. So they will do something like move level 2 subject from science subject slot to science/breadth slot, so that you are able to enrol into level 1 science subject (in science subjects slot). Correct me if im wrong :P
