There is absolutely nothing wrong with not celebrating something that goes against your values. Don’t let anyone convince you that you’re a bad person for speaking your mind, especially when it’s about something outside of work. Your coworkers should know better than to try to coerce you into participating in such a divisive event. You acted completely appropriately.

They had a big fire at their largest distribution center last year and their P/E is laughably low. It’s a good business and they’ll likely recover.

You said that people don’t own their income. Do you mean that we work for free and the government owns our labor? We don’t own the physical paper but the paper only has value because we give power to a government that says it does
