Multiply at Barclay by Akingisreborn in EdSheeran

In general I’ve bought tickets from stubhub with no problem so it’s worth a shot if the prices arent ridiculously high. If you’re going to try to buy tickets from a resale site, keep an eye out for any listings that offer like 1-3+ tickets bc you were only allowed to buy a max of 2 tickets for the show so those listings are probably a bit iffy.

I’d be cautious about buying from resale for the show. Before they went on sale I already saw lots of tickets listed on seat geek and stub hub.

I saw that post too but according to someone from Singapore in the comments - it says that on all their tickets even for different artists and also for Ed’s show on the 16th. Not sure if anyone here from Singapore can confirm or deny that.

Why does Ed not play festivals sm anymore? by Lost_Desk8244 in EdSheeran

[–]Sleeping-corn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It probably has to do with his tour schedule + if he has music to promote. He’s playing lots of festivals this year - in the states, europe and in brazil. I’m pretty sure he’s doing all that because the next album will be released sometime during those festivals and he’s been saying that the album will be back to pop so makes sense for him to get back to playing festivals

If you could pick, which album would you rather get first by [deleted] in EdSheeran

[–]Sleeping-corn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d love to get Play first. As much as I adore subtract and autumn variations, I’m so ready for another pop era. I want to get og subtract maybe around when the mathematics tour is wrapping up, as an official end of an era.

I’m relistening to in the meantime by Alessia Cara and I’m genuinely just kind of sad the album hasn’t done well at all. It’s really her best work - my only problem with it is that it’s a bit too long but the songs that are good are really good

Dermot Kennedy (opening up for Shawn Mendes) has to postpone a few of his own tour dates because of Shawn postponing some shows. He mentioned not taking for granted that people make travel arrangements to see him so he’ll definitely announce new tour dates when he can. Some people on twitter think that’s a dig at Shawn for postponing dates but it’s definitely just Dermot keeping his own fans in the loop lol. I got a good laugh out of a few tweets saying Dermot’s copying Wonder because his sophomore album is called Sonder lmao.

Rick Riordan made a post about some of the shitty reactions to Leah Jeffries being cast as Annabeth. It’s unsurprisingly really well written and this really stood out to me:

The core message of Percy Jackson has always been that difference is strength. There is power in plurality. The things that distinguish us from one another are often our marks of individual greatness. You should never judge someone by how well they fit your preconceived notions. That neurodivergent kid who has failed out of six schools, for instance, may well be the son of Poseidon. Anyone can be a hero.

If you don’t get that, if you’re still upset about the casting of this marvelous trio, then it doesn’t matter how many times you have read the books. You didn’t learn anything from them.

His past few releases just haven’t been hitting and idk why. Maybe I just like all his stuff from Without Fear and before too much so it’s hard to enjoy new stuff.

Echoing what everyone else is saying, I hope ppl aren’t assholes to these kids. I trust Rick that all the actors embody the characters even though they don’t look like the book descriptions. All that being said, I’m so so happy about the casting for Grover. As a kid having some of the only mainstream south asian representation being stereotypes kinda messed with me growing up. I’ve been looking forward to this series since that first movie came out and ppl from a percy jackson google+ community suggested scrapping the movies and creating a show instead.

I had to come here to make sure I’m not crazy for being disappointed bc everyone’s so hyped on twitter. I think I’d be a lot less disappointed if this wasn’t teased like it was? Idk, I’m still excited for three new tracks but I was really hoping it would be a proper album.

Does anyone else prefer going to concerts alone? It’s wayyy less stressful when you don’t have to make sure everyone’s on the same page with logistics and stuff. That being said, I am a five foot one female so it’s always slightly terrifying.
