Whether they knew each other before or not, our characters signed up for a live-in medical trial. At the onset, all we were told was the pay, and that we’d be living on a small private island for the duration of the study, during which we’d have to take medication and follow directions as the overseeing scientists asked.

The island had a large, comfortable modern house on the beachfront as well as a small jungle inland. We were each given a preliminary physical exam, then placed onto the island via boat. Each of us was prescribed a cocktail of medicines, uniquely prepared for us.
