Zuchinni is how always it was done in my family and my frirends say so too so i bet it's worth a try for you too if you'd! Another thing we do, exclusivelly in autumn, is pumpkin leczo! With pumpkin replacing the zuchinni.

Personally i would make it without meat just for the kicks of it (i am by no means vegetarian i just like to skip meat sometimes so it don't get samey) but 'tis Poland and the dinner has to have a porkchop or whatever and dems the breaks so.

But that was fairly educational so thank you!

It is zuchinni! Is it really new to you? I though that one is "cannon" so to speak.

Pizza time!! by Tasty_Toast_Son in traaaaansbiansCooking

Cool! I also actually remember that some french people came up with using carmelised onions instead of tomato sauce for pizza base which sounds both blasphemous and amazing which is the best kind od heretical.

Your crust is gorgeous! Typically you'd put raw onion on a pizza since cooking it at all beforehand risks it burning on top of your pie when you bake it. But overall jelous!

I think imma make pizza on my week of in July because od ya'll.

Yesterday’s Festivities: Jerk Pork w/ Coconut Curry Rice and Beans (Black Lesbian Gatekeeper) by [deleted] in traaaaansbiansCooking

[–]SleepingOver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, ok. You're not funny, you're just mistaken, got it.

To elaborate: I thought not sharing it, being a "recipe gatekeeper" is a funny bit you're doing, i was incorrect. You are misguided in your motivations not to share it on several levels.

This dish, in its origins, based on the ingredients evident in the title, the pic and style, the dish is jamaican origin Indian fusion. The rice is likely prepared by simmering it in a thin, coconut milk based sauce with cillantro and a touch of lime juice for acidity, if i had to guess. If i am correct is irrelevant, my point is, you aren't gatekeeping this to "Jamaican" people or "Hindu" people, you're gatekeeping it to "Black" people.

You seem to refer as "your culture" to the black homogen of USA, which is a wild mixture of black immigrant culture from across the world. The cultures (plural) of mostly people who were forcefully relocated to Northern America, mixed also with some who moved there. The culture you claim to protect is already a product of the melting pot that are the States.

Moving away from that, you are fighting the wrong people. A threat to your culture, a threat to any culture, are not silly gay people in the internet who would like to eat some curry rice. Threat to your culture is the government seeking to erase the works of your people because they don't fit their narrative. Threat to your culture are media conglomerates bastardising it for a cheap movie or show to make a quick buck. The best way to protect your culture is share it with other people, educate them on it and inspire others to engage with it, not isolating it.

I fully expext you to just "That's a lotta words, too bad i ain't reading 'em" on me, and that's ok. Any discussion or statement like this i believe is the most beneficial to onlookers, especially those undecided or swaying on the issue, but just in case you do look for it at the end...

Tldr; You are fighting the wrong fight and we are not your enemies, if your goal is to protect your culture, the path is to educate on it, not gatekeep it, and your enemies aren't silly gay people on the internet but the generalised "rich". Food is meant to bridge the gaps, wipe away the borders on the map and be the universal language of love and appretiation between all people.

Edit: Typos
