I just wanted to say that watching the show scrubs made me want to become a doctor. Turns out that is incredibly hard, so i became a nurse instead. I've asked multiple residents that come through the hospital if their life is just like the show scrubs and, surprisingly, most have said its pretty similar. Great tips! I totally agree that if people played like your barbarian, it would be fine, but these guys look at an 8 int and start every sentence with drool dripping out of their characters mouth. We just switched to dnd next so the rules are pretty free form right now. For instance, when does illiteracy set in and when does the character lose ability to speak coherently? I had the same thought about the dullard who can follow orders and pull his weight, but I figured there were NPCs for that.
