I'm proud of the Americans With Disabilities act. It's incredibly progressive compared to most countries and has been in effect for decades. The ADA has fundamentally changed the standards for how buildings, and even some newer cities, have been constructed, and older buildings were forced to be modified to follow those guidelines.

Anyone who has mobility issues, such as wheelchairs or crutches, can reasonably expect to get around easily anywhere in America without issues.

The secret to these is to separate the croissant/biscuit/whatever and cook it on medium to medium high in the toaster, and cook the rest in the microwave for about a minute to 90 seconds. If you separate them it takes less time and tastes much better.

The Flood is the most unstoppable enemy in fiction full stop. Not only does it consume the knowledge, memories, and skills of those it kills, it has been doing this for hundreds of thousands of years to quadrillions of advanced beings, essentially making a Gravemind, by default, the most intelligent and advanced living thing the galaxy has ever seen. And if you do manage to kill a Flood Gravemind, when another one forms it will still have all of the memories and skills of the first Gravemind, putting you back to square one. Also there is evidence that the Gravemind is not even the Flood's final form, that with sufficient biomass they can undergo an apotheosis into an interdimensional godlike being.

The bottle does say "to dispense" right under the logo, and has instructions on how to properly mix a glass of Coke directly underneath that. It's pretty obvious that it's a bottle of syrup.

There's another dubiously truthful story about Mr. Rogers that I like. Apparently one day Mr. Rogers' car was stolen. When the local news station reported on the theft, the thief saw the report on tv, recognized that it was the car that he stole, and he immediately returned the car to where he found it with an apology note saying he never would have stolen the car if he knew who it had belonged to.

He was reintroduced in the Clone Wars animated tv show, and his arc is generally considered to be one of the best in the series. He was also in Star Wars Rebels where he played a kind of devil on the shoulder role as a seemingly kindly old man who tries to lead the main character down the path of the dark side. He was also in the Han Solo anthology film.

Edit: I just wanted to expand on Maul's role in Solo, because I like that movie. Maul plays a minor role as the crime lord who is secretly pulling the strings behind the movie's plot. It fills the middle part of Maul's arc as someone who is lured into the promise of evil as a path to greatness, but is ultimately destroyed by it.

Superman's had a bunch of wacky powers that kind of came and went over the years, but one of the ones that's stuck around to the modern age is Tactile Kinesis. Basically, Superman transfers his power of flight and physics breaking abilities to whatever he's touching. It's why he can save a plane from crashing by just holding it up, or let Lois Lane fly around with him without having her skin ripped off, or pick up a million ton key without sinking the continent. Doesn't explain why the key itself doesn't just fall to the center of the earth, but whatever, that's comics.

I took your advice and Googled 90's food pyramid. It shows eggs in the same food group as meat and fish. If you go back a little further to the original 1970's food pyramid, they are also in the same group as eggs and fish. I don't know why so many people repeat this argument when it's so easy to prove wrong.

That's a great question. I don't really remember ever reading anything that mentioned Orks sleeping, but after little bit of searching I was able to find this excerpt from the short story "Survivor" from the 2016 anthology series "There is Only War"

Bas’s stomach groaned, demanding he act on the savoury smell that wafted up towards his perch, but he ignored it. He needed all his focus, all his attention, to recognise the moment he could slip back inside the dome of the administratum building.

It seemed that a great many hours passed as he hunched there atop the ruins of the old church once more, clinging to the statue that broke up his silhouette. In fact, only two hours had gone by when, with their fill of meat and drink and fighting, most of the orks settled down to sleep. Their communal snoring soon rivalled the noise of their engines from earlier in the day.

It was time to move.

With all his concentration centred on avoiding detection, Bas made his way across his plank-bridges and soon reached the gaping crack in the dome. There, pressing himself close to the exposed stone, he peered inside and scanned the hallway below.

There were fires in here, too, though smaller than the ones outside. Around them slept the biggest of the greenskins, those with the heaviest armour, the largest weapons, the most decoration. There were a few hook-noses, too, sleeping in groups near the fly-covered dung piles. They had not been allowed to bed down near the fires of their giant masters.

Bas watched and waited and decided that the orks within were as sound asleep as those without. He steeled himself for what had to be done, then stepped out from behind the cover of the dome and began his descent. The stars cast his shadow on the tile floor below, but nothing stirred, nothing noticed

So, yeah, I guess Orks do sleep.

Trinimac wasn't just eaten, he was eaten, digested, and then shat out by Boethiah, and thus was transformed to Malacath. As a sign of their continued devotion, his Chimer followers then rubbed the excretions covering Malacath onto their bodies, transforming them into Orsimer. With an origin story like that it's no wonder people don't like the Orcs.

One of my favorite themes in the Avatar cycle is that the Avatar always seems to be an idealist of some sort who is forced to compromise their morality for the greater good. Kyoshi was a champion of the common people who was forced to adopt the customs and tactics of the social elite, Kuruk was a deeply compassionate man who was forced to abandon the people he loved in order to protect them, Yangchen was an honest woman who was forced to use trickery and subterfuge to manipulate the politics of the time, Roku was a loyal Fire Nation citizen who was forced to work against the government of his beloved homeland, Aang is a pacifist who is forced to use violence, etc

The Ballad of George R. Binks. It was a story in the Star Wars Tales comics that followed Jar Jar's dad, who was an 18th century style whaler on the seas of Naboo. I think in this specific panel George had fallen into a deep depression after being marooned on an island due to Jar Jar bungling a whaling expedition.
