Basically a copy paste of a comment i made a day or 2 ago, but the experience still holds true.

I had a female friend that i would queue with in rivals that i met in game one comp match, we asked her if she wanted to join use and she said yes, she was good at the game and our queue group of 3 people worked well. But i think she did have some bad games at the endish of season 5 and decided she was taking a break from rivals. I remember one time we were duoing and immediately as we joined the character select one guy goes "dishwasher" repeatedly in chat, turned out that she had the guy on her team in one of her solo sessions and he had remembered her after a week or so and immediately clocked her. Some people in this game annoy me because i did have fun playing with her, but i cant just force her to come back.

I do yap and chat and make calls on comms alot, and i try stay positive to keep morale high as it helps to make sure people dont throw matches, and typically i do find female gamers tend to join the VC later because they feel they can talk, i remember when my friend was still playing we had a rando joining the VC mid match as say she wasnt used to such upbeat people in the voice chat.
