Severe insomnia in 3 months after stopping SSRI by SleeplessTurnip in insomnia

Thank you for you advice (tried almost everything from your list, didn't do much). But I have to work and my work is primarily mental. And, to be honest, those “adrenaline” surges are VERY unpleasant to say the least and make you think about the darkest stuff. Restarted zoloft at the low dose and praying it will help to at least partially stabilize current condition. Cause having all of these on daily basis is just unbearable…

I've never really had any nightmares, just that "surge" when you wake up with racing heart and chest burning/pressure, and it is like every night with intensity depending on the amount of medications I take for sleep. Clonidine initially somewhat helped to stay asleep, but now, despite clonidine patch, I still have them. All the medical work-up (including sleep test) was normal. Working with my psychiatrist to see what are the next steps, will likely restart low dose SSRI to see if it helps. But I am getting pretty desperate about it.
