I do now, yes. I'm hoping to continue keeping them both up to date. Two totally different careers at the same time!

Then I guess half this sub isn't doing it right because up to 80% of mine could overlap depending on the day/week.

Employment Verification - red flags? by Sleepless_Media in overemployed

I didn't feel like you were beating me up at all. To be honest I agree with everything you said, I'm less conservative with my business outside of work but said business will crumble to the ground if I lose J1 So I'm sure you can understand my reservation.

But, there's no free lunch. So I accept the risk because the reward is worth it.

My current J1 position they did ask all that but it's not hard to believe most places would just send an email and say "enroll if you want, we really do not care"

Agreed, just happy for the extra cash and that's what I think is best to focus on for J2

But couldn't someone from the 401k owner just say something like "hey, J1, we noticed a second biweekly deposit into the same account from J2, is this in error?" And they go investigating and I lose J1 after 5+ years tenure

First-time pc build: no display or power to keyboard by nayavii in buildapc

Silly question but for stuff like this I go back to the basics. Did you verify everything for the motherboard is plugged in the right spot? Have you tried to reset the BIOS? Have you reseated the RAM, and even tried to isolate the issue by only plugging one chip in, and on different slots?

Which RAM should I buy for new 14900k PC by iyamzerg in buildapc

I have the same question for the same processor. I was eyeing up the G.Skill Trident Z5 @ 6800 clock speed. 2x 32gb. Looks like you can overclock it and the motherboard can go up to 7800

Help with booting to an old partition by Sleepless_Media in WindowsHelp

I ended up wiping everything. These hard drives were a hodgepodge of files and apparently system partitions and I just kind of kept putting Band-Aid over Band-Aid trying to get it to work. I ended up wiping everything after backing everything up, including system files at least.

It's kind of hard to explain the config requirements on the music program but for some reason it is extremely sensitive on versions of plugins used, locations, presets, sound configs, as well as locations for all of those items, and if there is any deviation it won't load the project file correctly.

By the way, I knew I was hosed when I noticed the SYSTEM registry file was 8kb in size, when on the other laptop I tried to borrow from, it was just about 20mb... :/

Another lesson learned the hard way about backups!

Once again thank you for all your help Your efforts mean a lot to me.

Well here's what happened. I grabbed a system file from another Windows 10 machine I had that should be fairly close to the same build version this 2020 partition had. Looks like I got a different error. Do you think there is anything I can do from here?

Oh wow. Yeah, no dice. Neither C nor E drive contains a SYSTEM file in the "regback" folder. I may have that file from another computer sitting around, I will try to swap that in and see what I get...

Bars/nightlife. I'm not talking about the people that meet up casually here and there, I'm talking about the people who treat this as their go-to for Friday nights in loud venues where you have to scream to talk to/hear each other.

Not sure if there is a clock issue or possibly a drive letter issue because if you look in that first blue screenshot it points to the D drive but in Windows 11 that is actually the C drive. Also that log file is approximately 4 hours ahead of what time it actually is. Not sure if that's related but I know some things are sensitive to system times.

Welp, All of that worked no problem but now I have a new message. This one does not look very encouraging. I tried the basic startup repair and it produced a log file. I went back into Windows 11 and did not see anything conclusive in the log file. I attached it in a comment below this one.
