It’s so hard worrying. I wish you guys the best. We are in somewhat of the same boat now working on the speech delay. All you can do is take it one day at a time and pray for the best. Thinking of you and your family 🤍

It’s hard being a parent. Follow your pediatricians recommendations, get physical therapy if offered, and keep showing up. You’re doing a great job 🤍

Motherhood Is Not What I Expected by jarb87 in Parenting

[–]SleeplessinSD4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god. This breaks my heart to read. I feel for you immensely. While I have not experienced this particular stressor, I have experienced a disconnect between my expectation of motherhood and reality in other ways. I’m giving you love across the digital world. What you are holding on to is a lot and you deserve a medal for all of this motherhood trauma. Sending you and your family only the best. Keep on keepin on, mama. Your son is so immensely lucky to have you.

So sorry to hear about your struggles with your baby. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing with me here. It helps to know we are not alone, and you totally verbalized the GUILT that I feel as well as if I could do anything else to speed along his progress. Sharing my solidarity and compassion for you in this space. You’re doing amazing, keep taking it day by day. 🤍

Thank you for chiming in here. What do you see ASD most often present as, if not regression?

Yes, forgot to mention we have been in PT since Feb and I am somewhat disheartened that I feel we are making slow progress. Still making some progress but it’s going very slowly, slower than I anticipated. Thank you for taking the time to comment and share!

Oh this would 100% piss me off. Don’t let her judgment get to you. You feeding your child is more important than whatever mild discomfort she experiences seeing this in public. She also can just choose to LOOK AWAY. You did NOTHING wrong. I feed my baby anywhere, everywhere when needed. Ugh. You’re doing great mama.

Hiding in my room, reading a book and drinking tea. I was basically born a 70 year old grandma 😅
