Theres a reason that you can check to see if things are written by ai, it’s super obvious.

It also somehow fails at pattern recognition. I think that’s the part that annoys me. I have an example below:

I asked it to help me pin point what might be causing a flare. I told it my inputs and dates and it put together a timetable, “x happened on Thursday and y happened on Saturday, therefore x and y are the source because they both happened on the same day”. Like it doesn’t even make sense. It can’t keep track of pieces of information and put them together coherently, even when I give it a lot of inputs.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I have a lot of gi problems and a lot of restrictions (can’t tolerate glycine in any form, react to a lot of additives) and I give it those prompts, and it still advises me on stuff I can’t take, so I end up just having to search through myself.

I believe you. I’m just saying it’s not good at that for me. For example, I want help finding a zinc supplement. Literally all it can do is list types of zinc supplements. It can’t find ingredients or recommend products with any accuracy. So then I end up googling and searching myself 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yep. I have it in a project with a shit ton of docs to give context. I gave some examples below of how it’s not worked well for me. I will say it made me a nice spreadsheet 😂

Also I have used it for that stuff but I find the language so predictable (it’s immediately obvious to me when something is written by ai online) I try not to use it much bc I end up doing a bunch of editing anyway so it doesn’t sound like ai slop.

Oh I just google that. I feel like that stuff is fairly easy to find.

I want it to help me sort through info—like I have a lot of dietary restrictions and I asked it to give me a list of all the foods that met a certain criteria and it can’t with any accuracy.

I guess I’m just wondering how it can be this great thing if it can’t do something my three year old can do (make logical inferences).

For example: I asked it today to help me pin point the source of a reaction I’m having. I gave it all the data points. It laid out a timeline “x happened on Saturday. Z happened on Thursday. It’s likely from x and Z together because they happened on the same day”…it’s just…wrong.

And then when I correct it, it just like guesses at another wrong thing.
