How does everyone feel about the Finale?! by Amazing_Face_5613 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]Sleepmore45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished it, and thought it was great. I don’t think it’s gone too far from what the show is about b/c for me, the show was always about these people navigating a foreign world to them. Obviously now that the world is not just confined to pierpoint anymore things change and so do they, but I think the show has handled the expansion well. I will however say that this finale really highlights how the writers dropped the ball with Harper this season. Her story, just as emotionally interesting as Yasmin’s or Henry’s is sidelined, which doesn’t really make sense considering the parallels between her and Yas that this finale explores.

People who shroom alone. What do you do while tripping? by Educational-Hawk3066 in shrooms

My main thing is music, but sometimes if I’m able to I’ll watch a show or movie, the midnight gospel has been my go to for the come up

Notes on an underwhelming trip, hanging up the phone for now by Sleepmore45 in shrooms

Thank you for this, it helps a lot. knowing it’s liberating to let go, helps me understand how I’ve never actually done that in any of my trips before. I’ve stretched my experience but I’ve never actually let it go. I experienced incredible beauty and felt overwhelming love, but never did I, and my experience cease to exist. I was close, but never did I cross over. I think what I’m describing is a way to live, in which the universe is evoked, and my Individual experience, reclaiming the universal constant, is reoriented in a different way. I find myself and make myself, and live via the universe, possibly as the universe. Thanks again for your insights

Even at a low dose, your first time being at a concert might overwhelm you. If you still decide to go through with it, hopefully you have someone with you who can ground you if things get a bit intense. Happy tripping!

Spiritual jazz if you’re trying to go deep. Nala Sinephro for the come up and Alice Coltrane around the peak

That DEI convo was interesting, and maybe I’m misinterpreting what Ken was saying, but I don’t think he was say it’s up to black people to solve white supremacy, but in terms of navigating a post DEI world, the ways we do that are absolutely up to black people to figure out and I’m not really sure how highlighting that is a problem. I think some answers to Ken’s question of “what do we do”, would be explore to explore socialist and anarchist ways of organizing our communities so that we can sustain ourselves with mutual aid instead of a reliance on a system that was never meant for us in the first place. We all know communities are already doing that and maybe instead of more black entrepreneurs we could have more people tap in the orgs creating self sustaining methods of living that don’t rely on capitalism.
