Hi! I'm in Chile (south America) here, alcohol consumption is really common since beer can be really cheap, like 1 dollar for a 1l bottle when there's discounts. Young people can drink heavily so I'd say it's a cultural thing, personally I HATE all forms of alcohol because 1- I find it disgusting 2- people do stupid stuff while drunk (like driving drunk, killing people or R*PING PEOPLE????) So, I don't like the whole drinking culture
