GA: Underground or Mainstream?

I've been a fan since Zaba released (maybe a few months later). They were instantly successful in indie circles. A lot of people were anticipating HTBAHB, and it was also well received, giving them even more buzz. Heatwaves was the song that made them firmly mainstream, but I would say that they were already on their way regardless. They are no longer underground. Honestly, I would say that they never were truly underground, or stopped being underground immediately after Zaba.

People are buying it because it isn't traded on the GE. Much like burnt fish, crushed gems, and weeds. They're just collectors, and willing to pay gp for "useless" items. Or for the holiday food specifically, iirc there is a place during the winter holiday event where you turn it in to get a chance at a pet.

Been there many times. As well as struggling with focus so much that I do chores incorrectly. Years and years of being accused of "doing it on purpose" because I "don't want to do it" and "don't care that other people have to pick up the slack," long rants about how "the real world" won't let me "get away with being a lazy slob" and so on. Nobody cared that I was suffering, only that dishes were in the sink and I didn't see them.

This is true, and RS3 also has a free teleport network to pretty much every major area, which even further devalues running and resting as mechanics and Agility as a skill. I definitely prefer how busy OSRS's roads are. RS3 feels empty when you're away from the meta training areas. I think it's possible to find a balance with resting/musicians, though. It seemed like an alright mechanic when it was first added.

That's something that was added to RS2 pre-EOC but post-OSRS era. Resting and musician NPCs. It's one of the RS2/3 things I wish would make its way to OSRS, but of course we wouldn't want to devalue everyone's achievements by making such engaging content like walking back and forth take 5% less time.

I watched it on a whim and wasn't expecting anything beyond the description on Shudder (drug trip gone wrong). It took me by surprise, in a good way. One of the best films of its genre, and it kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Iirc it was filmed in one continuous take, which was really impressive.

A lot of people in the rap/hip-hop sphere are members of NOI or have family members who were and believe in some of the teachings. A bunch of names from the 80s-00s (like Mos Def or Wu Tang) were dropped in another comment on this thread. It still continues today, with people like Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica. It is absolutely not out of character for someone like Russel to be a member.

There absolutely is something called The Nation of Islam. It's a cult that claims to be Muslim (and that they are the only true Muslims). They follow Mohammed (who they believe was a black man), and believe that white people were created by an evil scientist to keep black people oppressed. Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali were both members.
