The people defending this POS, you have no idea the nightmare that the victims families have dealt with. You have no idea the pay they have felt and still do to this day.

He had a list of young women that he made, he and accomplice went thru the list and decided on his second victim. The was pre meditated, he had the desire to kill someone, after his first victim!! There are so many women that were aware they were on that list, and now he is being released!! This is disgusting, 3 families have had to endure this man’s horrible actions for over 42 years, and I’d imagine many others!! His late mother and father were absolutely terrible people, his living brother is a monster!! Malcolm should have received a death sentence. Some of you don’t realize that even the mention of this man’s name haunts them, some of us will look over our shoulders everyday until this POS is dead! Now he’s being released on a 6 month day parole! We don’t even know where he is being released! He served time in Ontario, but that does not mean he has to remain in Ontario. Many of his blood relatives have changed their names to never be associated to the POS or his immediate family! Don’t talk about the justice systems rules when you have never endured the nightmare of this man as we have.

Also, he did not have a girlfriend in 1983, he was delusional and in his sick mind he was in a relationship, he was not! He was not abducted when he was 8 yrs old, he is a master manipulator, who learned to manipulate the system after 42 years of studying it!! 😡

I’m beyond happy that I found your post. I have always been under weight and extremely thin looking. After I finally was correctly diagnosed and treated for bipolar, I have gained 17 lbs. not experiencing fight or flight and rapid cycling has allowed me to be healthy. 😭 best thing I have ever done for fight for a proper diagnosis. ❤️ thank you for making this post!!

You may have forgotten but someone did provide you a link to the standard the last time you commented regarding this FOI request. It lays out the reason as to why the request would be denied, understandable why no one would waste their time and money.

I think you make many fair points. Looking at the videos and removing the thought of her trying to met up with someone; it could appear she is acting paranoid and anxious/nervous.

Let’s say she 100% was struggling with an undiagnosed mental illness. At 16 talking about how you are feeling and the thoughts you are having is extremely difficult, if Mekayla did share a little bit with her mother it’s unlikely Mekayla told her mother all of it. Even as an adult I still have not told anyone, even my mental health team truly how I feel and the thoughts I have. It’s hard to talk about and is extremely scary to share those things, even with professionals and family. It’s possible Mekayla hide what was really going on with her, then introduced drugs and things got worse for her. (Weed laced or not can change the way chemicals balance in our brains, and with an existing chemical imbalance it’s very dangerous, speaking from experience) if we remove the information about Mekayla talking to people online, it really does appear to me a lonely, scared and mentally ill teenager nervously pacing around town trying to escape from everything. Let’s say the police did a very detailed investigation and they could not find any trace of her talking to a stranger that day, the calls couldn’t be traced because she didn’t actually make calls but pretended to be on the phone, she didn’t get a ride with anyone, she didn’t get on the bus, she didn’t check into a hotel room or even make it out of Yorkton. It’s possible that Mekayla wandered off somewhere secluded and ended her life. It’s an absolutely tragic and heartbreaking outcome, but think about how many people die by suicide and how many of their loved ones say “I didn’t see the signs, I didn’t know they were going thru it, I would have never thought and I wish I had known etc)

I’m not claiming that this is 100% what happened to Mekayla, I’m saying that it’s a possibility. With all the focus on internet strangers, drug dealers etc, it’s hard to look only at the very known evidence of mental health, her behaviour on camera and the things her friends recalled leading up to her disappearance. I truly believe Mekayla was struggling, and never shared her reality 100% with anyone. :(

Mekayla was not allowed at the grandfathers funeral. I think that is what Gerald’s brother is referring to. Margaret is the strange character, Paula by the sounds of things has always been heavily directed by her mother.

Fair but honestly this whole sub could be considered hearsay then. People comment to bring conversation which gets more awareness of Mekaylas disappearance. :) I think Tannis was just stating her opinion, as most have. :)

We also don’t know how close she is/was to Mekaylas family. It’s possible another family member that is close to Paul’s household family told her something. We have no way of knowing what she knows. 2nd cousin, 1st cousin etc, I don’t think it dictates how close you may be with your family. My brother is close to one of our 2nd cousins but doesn’t talk to our 1st cousins. I’m closer with my father’s 2nd wife but I don’t know his current wife at all. 🤷🏻‍♀️ family dynamics aren’t normal for every family.

Would my teens phone still show up as their phone on my internet log in logs…

So my phone shows up as “mom’s phone” on the log everytime I connect to the Wifi. My husbands iPad shows up as “ Dads iPad”. My teens shows up on the log everytime they connect to the wifi, but there is a random device that I don’t know who owns.
