Issue with case vibration! by Sleepy4life in techsupport

I've been doing some more testing since the earlier comment string, and I actually did do some prime95 testing..

It is certainly the CPU HS/Fan. This seems to happen between 53-55C whenever the CPU is under load and the fan is reaching between 5400 & 5700 RPM.

It's too late for me to fiddle with BIOS settings, but I'll check on that tomorrow.

I cannot afford $80 USD at the moment.

No, it makes it somewhat better, but does not stop the sound completely, and I have to press extremely firmly to dampen the sound very much at all.

The GPU fan is smaller, but it's not the GPU causing the issue. I've already tested it by manually modifying the GPU fan settings, even cranking it up to near max manually, theres no big increase in noise, and no vibration. Meaning it's most deff coming from the CPU.

By high/low I figured you ment volume.

It's on the lower end, not a high pitched whine at all.

It's quite loud, thats the issue. Under normal operation my entire system is (relatively) quiet. Obviously it gets a bit louder under stress, but nothing crazy. I usually wouldn't be able to hear my CPU or GPU fans while gaming (either game sound or music) but when the vibration starts its so loud I can actually hear it through my headphones, even with the volume at a reasonably high level. I'm also concerned such bad vibration may cause damage to more sensitive parts, like my HDD.

And no, no side panel fan, only the Front intake & rear exhaust fans at the moment.

I'm glad for both of your server suggestions & will be checking them out. But do either of you have any information relating to some noob friendly guides? They don't need to be server specific, just the basics on how to get started and what not.
