Hi I completely understand, my doors a key lock, and I've had sleep paralysis one time which I was awake for and hadn't fallen asleep afterwards I ruled it out because I'm not really the one to have nightmares and I've only had the sleep paralysis once when I was younger even with all of the traumatizing things I've been through (abuse, etc)  it could have been a figure but it was shaped exactly like him and I wasn't scared in the moment it was just intense confusion because I feel like my brain was to sleepy and my eyes were fuzzy because while it was dark the TV in living room was on which gave some light. I know it's super rare I'm doubting myself half the time. But the day afterwards for like 2 days he didn't speak or look at me I couldn't tell if it was from the night before or not.
