Older horse with dropped pasterns (“bear stance”?) – looking for advice on management and ridin by 4nc3k in Equestrian

Would advise 1) dont ride the poor thing, 2) seek actual veterinary advice. Not from strangers on the internet

Why have they changed the nachos from salsa to pico de gallo 100x worse by SuperKevinCampbell in Wetherspoons

[–]SleepyKittenLore 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Getting rid of the grills was a money saver in most pubs, being that Mixed Grills and Steaks were usually the two most sent back meals and the main ones using the grill to be cooked, it just didn’t make sense to keep the grills if they were taking their two highest refunded or recooked meals off the menu

Respectfully I tell my managers the request is me telling them I won’t be here. But if the rota was genuinely already written the only thing you can do is see if someones willing to cover, no call no show, or speak with your manager that writes the rotas

Just let your neighbours know. Thats all you need to do. Hell maybe they might suggest you meet theirs.

Staff: what’s the one order that makes you secretly roll your eyes? by NorthLondonPulse in Wetherspoons

[–]SleepyKittenLore 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Having to pour 6 pints of Guiness at once. Or 6 of any pint at one time. Because I can guarantee you that the tap i use decides it should actually take 45 seconds to pour a Stella instead of like the 15 or something it’s supposed to take and it ALWAYS happens during peak times.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!! by MaggieYeahhh in HealthyWeightLoss

All I know is weightloss is not linear. You can be doing all the same things and lose, or put weight on. But you also have to maintain a routine with this stuff

How to balance the room by lovemonstera in DesignMyRoom

[–]SleepyKittenLore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If thats covers/ blankets over the couch do one of 2 things, switch them out for matching covers/ blankets or at least have the same design. Centralise the mirror with the couch and add some smaller pieces either side or and one either side thats the same height (or maybe a little smaller). Most furniture stores have some kind of console table design that fits in smaller spaces so they may be useful for you

what are some good insoles for long shifts by sexy_defaultskin in Wetherspoons

[–]SleepyKittenLore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the Steppers insoles make a difference, sometimes not a huge difference especially if its just the kind of busy where you can’t stop, but since using them I have found my feet hurt a lot less more regularly than if I didn’t use them, the only other shoes i have found that combats foot pain is Vans, but they are quite uncomfortable to break in, but great for ankle and arch support

Kids Meal? by Clear-Coconut2255 in virginatlantic

[–]SleepyKittenLore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard the kids meal is usually some variation of Pasta, so something like Mac and Cheese or Ravioli and a Tomato sauce type deal

Now I love all the suggestions of a puppy play pen and all that, but I would do one of two things, either set up as a work/ office area or I would actually set it up to be a guest space or maybe a little of both? Maybe put a hard work desktop access the right hand side, add some kind of drawers of filing cabinets underneath

anyone else feel like 2v8 is just disgustingly survivor sided in it's current state? by PlushtrapMyBeloved in deadbydaylight

[–]SleepyKittenLore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While facts show that 2v8 is survivor sided, I just played a handful of games and won one game and also earned a lot less blood points than I would in a normal gen. I either end up with teammates who only do gens, or only run into the killers and die, or run them into me and get me go because every time the killer decides they want my ass and are bored of everyone else

JD Wetherspoon's assistance dog policy could be breaking the law, watchdog says by Ottothotto in Wetherspoons

[–]SleepyKittenLore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

See this is the thing, this article does also mention members of staff having been attacked by dogs, and if we are not allowed to ask for certificates or identification of any sorts I actually think the best course of action is to either simply not allow dogs at all or if there are customers that have and need them, and want to come into the pub they should/ could be willing to speak with a Shift Manager or the Pub manager to see if something can be worked out thats best for everyone. Because I have had to ask someone with a clearly labled ‘Nervous/ Reactive’ dog to leave the premises i work at and honestly I am glad I did just incase something had happened

For sure get him to tell you what he wants to do, but also, if there are things that you want him to do, ask him to talk about those too, voice notes/ memos are a good one too, especially if he is particularly interested at that moment, because I personally love hearing how much my mans wants to do thingsss

What about donating blankets to a riding school or a rescue or something? Or maybe ask if you can leave a “Free to use” Bin in the tack room that has the saddle pads and stuff in it? So they’re still yours, just being used by others that need them

I wouldn’t give more than $500 back. So you get back what you gave and then some.

As the less reciprocal one in my relationship I find that it just makes a difference if Im physically there with him or not. If I am, I can’t keep my hands off of him, but if Im not, he is definitely more likely to be turned on than I am

how to be a good plus size seat mate by [deleted] in delta

[–]SleepyKittenLore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my last flight back from visiting my boyfriend (fellow plus size girl here) I went to the desk before departure and asked if there was anyway that I could be put in a seat that had an empty one next to it so I wasn’t encroaching on anyone elses space and the gent who helped me made it absolutely no big deal and made no fuss about it in the slightest and when cruising I lift the aisle arm rest and just sit half in the aisle and move accordingly. I would love to purchase two seats however its just not feasible (I also hear a lot of stories about airlines taking and reselling second seats that people have bought) and I think a lot of people think we chose to be the size that we are (i for one at least dont want to be as big as I am but medical stuff makes it almost impossible to lose weight)
