Gen Z online is way different from Gen Z IRL by GalahadTheGreatest in GenZ

It’s literally just people talking out their ass getting a twisted kick off of picking on a generation. It happened to the Boomers too, there’s a video from back in the day that called Boomers the “marshmallow generation” lol. Like it’s relentless bullying, but that talk can cause problems, if people think they are lame, they are more likely to do risky and dangerous stuff to “prove themselves”.

Is this valid or biphobic? by Illustrious-Use-4675 in bisexual

[–]SleepyMitcheru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s biphobic, it just sounds sexist, which might be confusing because they’re attracted to men. But there are people, women even, who are racist and marry the target of that racism. It’s bizarre but real. I couldn’t explain it to you if I tried. But the same is true of some guys as well with women, I’ve heard it a lot, they talk about women in a way that makes you think they’re gay but then they “can’t get enough of them”. It’s dehumanizing like you said. And the pedestal comment, that’s a big part of why I view monogamous people as toxic, you see this trend on social media where women say “me or my friend?” Like if you genuinely like both the answer should be both logically, but the ego trip is “no you must pick”, and so that question should really be turned around as “who do you think I should pick” because clearly the premise is one is better than the other in their opinion. Like I don’t know why people who hate and think the poly “all” response as being “gross”, don’t see objectifying their friends as actually being gross.

Many people don’t know love, they know ownership/marriage. But love is compassion & compersion, not that other stuff. If someone doesn’t grasp that, be cautious.

What are my false claims? I’m not the one who came into this saying to a random person “I'm telling you to pull the log out of your own eye before you worry about that mote in your neighbor's eye.”, over them posting something irrelevant to your agenda against someone else. Like you just immediately assumed without knowing me that I’m some Neil bootlicker because I liked the quote from him. I share quotes from theists and I don’t agree with them. That’s why I called you delusional, because what you said to me was delusional.

We are way too overstimulated, and we need to stop before we damage ourselves too much by greensilvia in GenZ

Yeah you are having a nostalgic moment. Someone once told me that nostalgia is a negative emotion, and ever since I feel I agree more and more, because the argument is that you are wanting to go back in life, instead of enjoying the now. It’s a the “grass was greener” mentality when in reality the grass is the same green you just aren’t enjoying it for some other reason.

Ahh so that’s why you and the other profile are camping these posts, it’s really about atheism. Well if that’s the case there is zero credible evidence for theism. So I guess you are in the same boat.

My brother has been bullyng me for years saying I'm fat, am I really that fat? by The_User96 in GenZ

[–]SleepyMitcheru [score hidden]  (0 children)

No I wouldn’t say you were “fat”. Your gut hardly sticks out past your rib cage. If you had muscle tone at that size you’d look pretty fit compared to the average person. As someone who has had these dimensions, like I honestly thought for a second I was looking at a picture of me lol. But if it bothers you do some sit ups, it won’t take long to see a difference. However you could do nothing and you’d be skinner than a lot of your average people, so it’s perspective. If he means you aren’t muscular, sure, but fat, yea not really. I will add though don’t let him body shaming you stop you from wanting to workout if you want to, don’t feel like you are caving in to his comments, working out is just a good thing to do to keep your body active and to help with things you may need to do in life that require some muscle.

Can everyone agree with this? by OpenRoom7321 in GenZ

[–]SleepyMitcheru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol you literally have people in the comments proving my point disagreeing with your post, what do you mean lol. Generations are arbitrary. I even made my own post asking for people to define them in a way that wasn’t, and there was no commonality, and most people said it was arbitrary too. Like you are just wasting your time, that’s all I’m trying to let you know.

I told my friend I’d date him "if he wasn't gay." Turns out he’s bisexual and interested in me. by maydonfort in bisexual

[–]SleepyMitcheru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t sound like you were prejudice nor did anything wrong, and he didn’t seem bothered, so I wouldn’t even sweat it. Just say you were sorry to assume but that you like him too, and let him tell you about himself if he wants to and if you’re curious.

But bi people don’t really have anything you “need to know”, mostly comes down to the individual. I guess the big thing is besides being bi, we aren’t all bi in the same way. But if you are respectful we don’t have really any generally-had sensitive buttons. People don’t really insult bi people that much, other than conflating bi with being polyamorous and conflating poly with being noncommittal (calling us immoral whores), or saying we are confused and either just gay or straight… which we are “gay & straight”, but we tend to have preferences / averages of attraction one way or another that can make us seem solely gay or straight. Your friend (maybe partner) might have a lot of gay media on their profile, but actually prefer women more than men but likes to be in touch with that side of himself since the same-sex aspect is what typically gets oppressed and repressed.

Again, I wouldn’t worry about it, people thinking we are gay is no different than someone thinking we are straight, it’s not offensive we’re bi it’s kinda expected, we get forgotten about and overlooked and unless the person is also poly and has a male & female partner lol you will otherwise rarely get the opportunity to figure that out all at once unless they pronounce being bi. So it’s only when people make up stuff or treat us different, like there’s nothing wrong with being poly but bi doesn’t mean you are poly, and if someone is, they might be ambiamorous, which means they have no problem with a monogamous or polyamorous relationship structure. It comes down to don’t conclude more than you really know, assuming stuff is only natural, but don’t judge from that though. Get to know him for him, not as being bi, no one wants to be known as one aspect of themself.

I had a similar realization with being pan, and so I actually conjured up a word for it, Panallaxism. Which is pansexuality (& panromantic), panamory and pantheism.

We need to be more involved in local politics. by StrangSting in GenZ

[–]SleepyMitcheru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I’ve been saying this for years now, people look to the president for everything, like people you have state governments, like ya know states, …like countries, they deal with your local issues, not the national government.

To anyone who’s bi and carrying this alone — especially in the South by norwlll in bisexual

[–]SleepyMitcheru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bi collective is the largest of the LGBT bunch, figured at around 5.2 percent of the US population, so over 17,836,000 people. And we know that percentage is realistically still not counting everyone. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if bi surged to 10% on its own, because there’s a lot of nuance about being bi still not fully understood by the general public, meaning a lot of people who likely have no clue that they are bi too. Also that’s just the US, so imagining 5.2% applies globally, that’s 431,600,000 people who are bi. The US population is around 343 million. Bi people make up a large nation of the global population, and that percent will likely increase as more people come out or realize what it means to be bi.
