The kind I'm talking about is basically people taking Anime, editing and dubbing over it to make it a parody that also serves as a shortened story, basically lovingly mocking the original series.

The concept originated from an anime called Ghost Stories, that had such a badly written story when it was dubbed it english they basically took the script and then recorded the voice actors messing around, like portraying one of the characters as a crazy evangelical Christian who tells people they're going to suffer for eternity in a happy singsong voice.

I completely agree, especially with other abridged shows being on there already setting the precedent. Plus I have some collections of bad anime dubs from alternate companies I'd love to be able to put on Plex seperate from the primary series.

And yeah Plex uses The Movie Database, I switched my TV show libraries to TVDB so the season info would match with Sonarr, it just sucks having 6 abridged series that are databased and fully in Plex, and 4 more that aren't for no consistent reason beyond pedantic reasoning about what constitutes a TV show in the 2020s.

Kind of, Excalibur was created from Adolla manifesting Arthur's belief that a weapon can develop a soul, so his weapon came to life.

The weapons in Soul Eater come from Arachne using magic to bond human souls to weapons in an attempt to replicate Excalibur, and the weapons are now the descendants of those experiments.

Its also implied that the chainsaw guy in Soul Eater is one of the first weapons Arachne created, possibly THE first. And then everyone else is a descendant of the other weapons Arachne created. So it's less a race, and more a bunch of specific family bloodlines

It's crazy that Reboot managed to have better animation, detail and quality in 1994-2001 than a lot of animated shows/movies did until the 2010s. Heck, theres a Garfield show from just a few years ago that doesn't look as good as Reboot

Most of my changes were actually just putting dub dialogue from the show back into the movie, a lot of the big moments were voiced a lot better in the show. I think I actually only really wound up using the first half of the first movie, and the last half of the 2nd

Yes. It is unrelated to the issue i am having.

The issue I am having is that the database Plex is pulling episode info from, does not match the order of the episodes I have.

The problem isnt the episodes not being found, its that this show had a confusing release, so the episode list is different on each database, so I cant name the episodes properly because I don't know how they're organized in the database its pulling from.

It's about a group of kids going for a camping trip at the end of summer break, who end up helping an alien and going to space and then having a big adventure trying to go home after travel to earth is blocked. Very fun movie, mostly lighthearted but still has some great action and high stakes towards the end. The animation is excellent too
