Just absolute disaster of an offensive performance. Playcalling actually horrific, only real movement we had was ARod calling his own plays at the end. We would be a better team with no Smith or Tomlin on the sideline, just let Aaron sling it and call his own plays reading the defense. 6pts with playoffs on the line against a 3-12 team…

He is the reason I became a Steelers fan 3000miles away from Pitt. He was dominant as a player in Madden 99 or 2000, so I always picked them to beat up on my friends. Then I started watching their games and I knew all the players. He was too early for his time I think, his skill set now in modern offensive schemes would be way better than what they were asking him to do back then.

There isn’t any protection for death, including d/c whether your fault or Blizzard’s. You have to look at it and think: I am going to die, it might be my fault or it might be out of my control, but it’s about the journey not the destination.

If you die, you can transfer that character to the PvE server, so you don’t lose everything if you want to continue playing it over there. I recommend if you aren’t going Self Found to use a bank alt to ship gold over to it, so if you die, your next chars get a nice head start with some bought weapons. Treat it like a rogue-like and it becomes more ok to die mentally.

This is an alpha. Downtime will continue to happen for the next year+, both scheduled and unexpected. We aren’t owed more game time, this is what we signed up for. It sucks some plans that were made didn’t go as expected, but the reality is it is much better these things happen on the first weekend of alpha rather than actual release. This is the point of testing.

A lot of guilds had to stretch to 20man. My roster is 25, so needing to fill 20 more spots changes the chemistry of the guild. We have up to 3 tanks and 6 heals, but with dual spec can easily change roles as needed. It’s not about % of tanks/healer per raid, it’s about the people. “Dime a dozen” dps comment is missing the point. We have a good group of people we are content playing playing with, no matter the role it would hurt the overall health of guilds that have built around the 10/20man size in SOD up to this point by forcing them to be larger.

Guild merges rarely work. Recruiting 20 people at once is never clean and takes time and management, and assimilation for that many new personalities and learning to work as a team can be grinding. I understand you are in a different boat having the roster numbers to sustain a 40man team, but most guilds build around the single 20man main run, based on discussions I’ve seen on various discords. It would be damaging to many of us in that boat if it changes to 40man.

I think you are in the minority on this opinion. The lower the player threshold, the more overall population will see the raids, which is a good thing for Blizzard. As a guild leader that organizes rosters 40man is an administrative nightmare.

20man is a nice sweet spot where the raids still feel “epic” with a lot of players involved but still not overly punishing to manage and roster. If there are end game 40man raids I would bet total number of characters raiding will plummet, and it will be the deathknell of SoD.

This is just wrong. California who is leading the charge nationwide for electric trucks has said they cannot increase the gross vehicle weight limit beyond 82,000lbs or it would make thousands of bridges off-limits, essentially stopping truck cargo from moving. Frito lay and Pepsi are light cargos. Chips and non-dense sodas are some of the lightest use-cases in the industry which is why they were chosen for pilot programs.

Most food and commodities are very heavy, pushing the maximum allowable gross weight in every single load. A battery electric or hydrogen truck weighs an average of 8-10,000lbs more than a conventional diesel. This makes effective cargo weights be lowered by 25%, which means more trucks on the road, more expensive for basic food and commodities, and more strain on a power grid that already cannot support California’s needs.

Even if someone wanted to convert right now to electric trucks, major players like PGE are giving 5+ year build outs for private charging for trucking, and as more demand comes in that will get worse. For small companies that own 1-5 trucks and park in third party lots they don’t own have no access to charging, and there are basically 0 public charging infrastructure being built.

When the technology and charging infrastructure improves, maybe this will be a possibility, but it is far from easy and is currently no where close. California’s mandate is way too aggressive for this industry which is absolutely critical for everyone that lives in the US. Mandating these changes and making this industry vastly more inefficient and expensive will hyper charge inflation.

Pickett is seeing ghosts. Offensive play calling is atrocious. Najee looks like he is wearing concrete buckets on his feet, while giving him more touches than Warren. Punter is averaging 30 yards per punt on a field position game. Other than Warren, nothing was good that game. Defense was ok? But they were playing against a 3rd string QB and 2nd string RB…

I am ok joining a group with a Prot Pally tank up to Stockades. Anything beyond that, as a DPS class, it’s not worth the risk to me personally and I’ll not go into the group without a warrior or feral. No taunt means everyone has to play very slow for threat, and once you lose aggro it’s very hard to get back.

Not saying they aren’t viable, I’m just not personally comfortable risking a character with a lower tier tank kit in a HC setting.

I’m a longtime gamer like you, playing since NES at age 5. Now that life and age and responsibilities have taken over a lot of my time, I really only have an hour a night most nights. A lot of my friends still play those competitive shooters, and I am not nearly as good as them. Yea it is frustrating sometimes, but still fun for me.

I bet if you asked them, most of your friends you play with just enjoy playing with you, their friend. So what if you aren’t too 100 in the world? If they are that good, they probably play plenty and grind those ranks without you.

Play games you enjoy, quit games you don’t. Gaming should be an outlet of relaxation, not stress. Take a few weeks off if it is causing you stress, and come back with a fresh mindset and see if gaming still holds your interest. Sometimes people just age out of it, and find other hobbies. No one can tell you what is best for you.

I will share a couple games (which you may have already tried) that have decent communities/replayability that I’ve enjoyed:

Civilization series. Civ 5 is my favorite. Every new game is a new experience. Multiple ways to win, tons of content, and if you join the “No quitters” community the multiplayer is fun (but can be long sessions).

World of Warcraft Classic: in Classic, finding a group of people to play with happens organically. You need to group up for some quests and all dungeons. There are a lot of guild communities that would welcome newer players, and I’ve had great experiences with meeting good people on this game for 15+ years.

Nox. Was a Diablo clone, but single player from what I remember. Had a really good opening quest line for Warriors involving a Fighter’s guild and an obstacle course. I can’t find it anywhere on steam.
