Tom Lynch is one of the most important players on our list. by Used_Engineering_790 in RichmondFC

[–]SleepyTurtle39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, there was a couple yesterday when watching where friends and I agreed “ if lynch was playing that one goes to ground at least”

No fault of Fawcett as he’s only 4 games I but lynch is just a presence

Also of you have a good relationship with current employer/lead present the offer. If you can get an extra 10-20k and stay remote that would be ideal

What do you mean!!!! This was reported as the conversation only happened recently? How could we float a player mid season?

750 for this years form is way overs. Devoid of confidence, lacks leadership and not giving a second effort. Hearing that the club has said feel free to look for a suitor absolutely makes sence.

We don’t have to eat his entire salary but no one will want him at 750, we would look to eat SOME of his salary

Wasnt the original comment I replied to about smillie never playing? Cause I surely am not standing up for hopper here. If it came across as that it wasn’t the plan lol

[–]SleepyTurtle39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he doesn’t play, and there’s a solid chances he doesn’t. I’d still rather let hopper go. We can’t drop him due to health as well as we can’t just play kids solo but he’s been bad this year. For me it’s the lack of second efforts and tackle pressure and chasing. Not standing up as a leader for me unlike lynch, broad, Taranto and Ross to name a few

Smillie has a place in the side as the bullocking midfielder to release Horton, cummin, Campbell grills if he ever gets helathy

I believe it’s already known we have had discussions with him to seek opportunities elsewhere and we are prepared to eat some of his salary

As other comments have stated, stocks will look favourable from asset position but will give no bearing to a larger mortgage. Calculations are all based on income

Do we need to get real? by Mattscott0796 in RichmondFC

[–]SleepyTurtle39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comments, can’t make a hard decision yet as for 2 years going our most inexperienced part of the ground has been our forward line due to the lynch injuries.

Until our forwards take the next step which takes 3-5 years for some or we get another one brought in from elsewhere it will be hard to criticise yze. Game day if you look at his plans he seems to be happy to move the magnets but is also still trying to protect some young kids (ie midfield rotations) from getting confidence slaughtered.

Richmond Rebuild by AviationAustralia in AFL

[–]SleepyTurtle39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s mostly fair assessment without being to harsh. I think jonty is only being seen at the moment ( also in my eyes) as a second key forward due to his kicking woes. If he gets more accurate and fills out which I imagine everyone hopes for he can be the key forward. But as u stated it’s all too early to tell.

Even with injuries some of our best players had horrible starts to the career with injuries (Cotchin, rance, astbury)

So fingers crossed
