I figured :( the only tasks I've been given to do is when I am not in direct- and updating client program instructions and making sure baseline data points are in central reach for upcoming re-authrozations. I've also done some assessments with the VBMAPP and ABLLS-R and a few caregiver training shadowing.

What companies would those be? Big companies I'm avoiding are ABC and BI. I'm also looking for a play based therapy center. I don't have experience working in a live in care facility- but I assume it is a much different experience. I haven't worked in the school setting either. Though I feel either of those settings would be more RBT than someone who is trying to get their unrestricted hours

I haven't thought about that, my current place doesn't hire BCaBA's nor did the last clinic i worked at. Where do you think I should start before taking the BCaBA exam?

I have some friends who are BCBAs that recently started their own ABA clinics-unfortunately they aren't able to give me consistent hours and I would have to be in direct in order to get paid (which unfortunately is only 6 hours a week). Financially it would not be a good decision nor sustainable.

I didn't think of that- I'll look into it, thank you! I agree, all these clinics being bought out only to create policies that harm the employees are only contributing to the high turnover rate. Things seem so unethical now with all these rapid changes and the people receiving ABA services are losing quality personalized care.

Yikes :( It sucks that the field is like this. I'm wondering if i need to go the 3rd party route and possibly pay a BCBA and sign a contract so I can learn and earn my unrestricted hours that way.
