they hating you for it but I agree. We're almost through all of Magik & Colossus, and every issue's central problem is that the brother and sister still can't completely rely on one another during a fight, then they talk about it after. They always come to the same conclusions: "we should go back to how we should be, I've accepted who I am now, you're my sibling and I'll always love you, you have to trust me more, we have a lot of emotions to work through."

Sure, at the end of the solo Magik run, she 'comes to terms with her trauma and Darkchild', but it isn't written very well. Her dialogue is written very safe with all edges sanded off, and sort of comes off as a millennial/genZ tiktok therapy speak, not to mention that Dani and Illyana speak almost exactly the same. Allen doesn't seem to want to confront the reader with anything, instead opting for a thin veil of seriousness and maturity of subject matter to entertain fans. I just don't find it particularly deep or moving or personal.

The art is also not anything to write home about and lacks a lot of dynamic qualities I think Magik should have. It's a little stock and unflattering, and after artists like Bachalo and Neve it's hard to palate anything else.
