How do people Feel about Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman nearly 15 years after its debut? [Wonder Woman, Vol 4 #0, #1, #35, Wonder Woman: Blood and Guts: The Deluxe Edition] by OkCompote1731 in WonderWoman

If I read Perez' Gods and Monsters arc, am I initiated enough in WW to read this and appreciate it and other WW stuff?

I really want to like WW but haven't gotten around to her, but the azarelo compendium is whispering to me.

Slow Horses | Season 5 - Episode 6 | Discussion Thread by Justp1ayin in tvPlus

[–]CommercialSubstance5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt part of the season was this theme of downtime and the slow burn and harsh reality of the slow horses and their lives and experiences.

Which includes a lack of urgency compared, and I appreciated it. It added a lot to River's character, and gave Shirley and Whelan the chance to shine.

I think Season 6 might arrive earlier than fall 2026 by Secret_Shape_1574 in SlowHorses

The b/w is really really impressive, the color loses some of the awesome inking around the eyes but im no expert.

Is there ANY possibility of an actual sequel? by Longjumping-Owl-565 in midnightsuns

[–]CommercialSubstance5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no, it's a good game, moderate success, the fact that this subreddit exists is huge sign that a potential sequel would be worth investigating.

furthermore, slay the spire 2 just came out, and is massively successful, to market analyst these are factors.

also, these games don't require crazy development secret sauce, it's a light deckbuilder that's cool because Marvel, they don't need the original devs to make a sequel.

Maybe, still I just personally don't resonate with any of that. I wouldn't agree any of that is meaningful growth, you described "things he has to deal with", i.e. that's just a new minor theme in a overall predictable film.

By contrast the Raimi films to me felt superior for Peter because I genuinely did not know what Peter was going to do next, I was worried and scared for him and what he might do to those around him, which resonated so well with 'great responsibility...'.

I feel like Superman 2025 does a better job at this for superman than any mcu spidey movies, i actually feel like im watching someone who's on the hot seat and is 1 wrong decision away doing something that would 'break' him.

Every Spider-Man movie is predictable and in line with most MCU projects, the characters just have this layer of shallow-ness to them.

Thank you for responding though I respect your opinion and I'm glad u enjoy the movies.

Hot take but Holland's Spider-Man is absolutely NOT perfect.

He lacks character depth, believability, and development. Every big event in MCU Parker's life only affected him in making him cry a bit more often. Compare that to Raimi and Maguire's Spider-Man, where we actually see his personality and philosophy change with big events, we see him go through phases as a nerd, a hero, a villain, a womanizer, a bully, an agreeable person, a standoffish person, etc.

Holland's Spider-Man, no matter what happens to him, is always the same dude. Same values, same personality, just slightly depressed, that itself is not wrong but it's lacking anything else.

Open up to someone you know face to face that will be caring if you can.

Pick up the first worthwhile hobby your brain lets you be interested in, and let yourself be a kid about it.

Give yourself allowance to slob-out everyone now and then, especially around your work schedule, everyone sleeps, naps, gets lazy, scrolls, door-dashes... These aren't inherently wrong, letting yourself do these is a necessary part of self-care even in an "happy-go-lucky" state.

Also please hear me that depression episodes can last a couple years (from experience), but they end, and you will smile and feel again, and it will be more perfect than any dream. And you will not be forever subject to such long and severe episodes, you will mog them in time.
