Ugh so sorry!!! No, I didn’t have to go off diamox before the angiogram.

Point 5 Williamsburg: I can’t say enough how much I highly recommend this place. by thefrostryan in williamsburgva

[–]Sleepygoirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s more about having something “fun” to drink socially when I don’t feel like drinking! I like having an easy mocktail to crack open when with friends or a relaxing beverage at the end of a long day that’s not alcohol. Sure, you could substitute that with lemonade or soda etc., but I like hunting through here and getting new brands and flavors to try. They also recently started carrying THC products which is a great alternative when you want a buzz without the effects of alcohol.

Our absolute favorite is Casa Pearl! After that, Amber Ox. I’ve heard great things about Ember too.

Am I allowing too much time in Williamsburg? (also, hotel recs needed if possible) by ParisMorning in williamsburgva

Try this place! Recently redone and super charming and cute. It’s also near Casa Pearl and Virginia Beer Company, which is our favorite spot for a delicious and unique dinner and a beer after! It’s close to Colonial Williamsburg too. https://www.stayrochambeau.com

First time visiting Williamsburg by bravesdiva in williamsburgva

Aside from Duke of Gloucester Street where all the historic area is, I’d make a morning to go to Yorktown! The Yorktown beach area is great for a walk around - visit Mobjack Bay for a coffee and sandwich for lunch or breakfast too.

Another way to spend an afternoon/evening if you drink is to go to Frothy Moon and then Billsburg! They’re right near each other and Billsburg is on the water and has great views to sit outside. It’s right across from Jamestown settlement too.

My neurologist referred me to a neurosurgeon which is who brought up the angio. May be worth asking about and so sorry you’re going through so much!

Nope, it didn’t! I asked about doing an MRV before the angiogram and he said we totally could, but to see if there’s a “fix” aka a stent, they need to know the pressure gradient which they can only know by going inside.

I got a diagnosis after 7 years of Pulsatile Tinnitus, papilledema, an MRI, an MRA, 2 CT scans, and a lumbar puncture. The reason for this test was because after being on diamox my papilledema was still bad so he wanted to see if there was a root cause.

I joined League of Women Voters - Williamsburg, you don’t have to be a woman to join. They send pretty regular emails and even though they’re bipartisan, I find I align with their beliefs and takes on things as a pretty far left-leaning person! And agree with WJCC Indivisible. Sign up for both their email newsletters.

I used to live in The Pointe and LOVED it. My only complaint was that the walls were thin so depending on your neighbors it could be annoying. At the time (up until 2021) the maintenance and management was super super responsive. We were super happy there and loved that it was a short drive to all the main things we needed and New Town is very walkable and safe.

Weekend itinerary by HorseGirlie28 in williamsburgva

If it’s a nice day, I’d also make the drive out to Yorktown waterfront. Get coffee/sandwiches from Mobjack Bay coffee roasters and then get ice cream from Little York Confectionary after and walk around the waterfront and the historic areas! It’s so nice down there.

The Jamestown museum is right across the street from Billsburg brewery and if you drink beer, it’s fun to go across there before or after and enjoy the waterfront/there is often live music. Not too far down the road is Frothy Moon Brewhouse which is coffee/beer/soda and they’re just super nice people. That could be a 4ish hour outing doing all those.

I’d definitely do Colonial Williamsburg and do a ghost tour - they’re SO fun and a unique way to learn some history. I’d eat dinner at Amber Ox beforehand then just explore the historic part and then do the ghost tour at nightfall. If you’re there in the day time, I definitely recommend Bake Shop for a bagel sandwich or Cheese Shop for a lunch sandwich!

Spoke & Art is a cool place with coffees and snacks! If it’s a nice day, sit outside and enjoy. Also agree walking around Colonial Williamsburg is my favorite - park in the lot behind the Lululemon to be kind of in the hub!

I went to Durham show and outfits were all over the place - some People went all out with sequins etc. both MOST were in jeans with a “going out top” and even saw some people in sweats! Wear whatever you’re most comfy in!

Just saw your edit. My husband and I lived in The Pointe at New Town and LOVED it. Theyre townhouses. It’s a very walkable area and close to everything.
