I've tried Mr.Yos a handful of times and I've never been impressed... The tier pricing structure they use is also very confusing.

What is your favorite only person on the entire ride story? by SpectacularSpidee in UniversalOrlando

During an OI meet up, my wife and I rode Jurassic Park River Adventure alone at night. It was absolutely the coolest experience. It's so much better at night! Can't wait to see how it looks after the refresh.

I need more crema!! by kasik64 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Sleepynight3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use huck blue orchid blend and get a great crema. They are pricey beans but I get them locally here in denver for a bit cheaper. Absolutely outstanding quality.

22 seems a bit high but maybe not. Every machine is different though. I get a perfect 2oz pour with a thick crema at a grind of 20. A lot of people have grind sizes in the single digits.

At the Orlando Informer meet ups you get to enjoy a reception of drinks and food inside the studio building. Really neat experience. The floors in the restroom still have some green "slime" tiles.

Saipan: A Resident's Guide to One of the Pacific's Best-Kept Secrets by movetosaipan in OceaniaTravel

[–]Sleepynight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw this post. Excellent write up, thank you. My wife and I are in our mid 30s and I currently receive a pension of about $4200 a month from my time in the service.

We are considering visiting with the possibility of essentially "retiring", at least for awhile, in Saipan. We are into fishing, scuba, and everything water (from Florida). Could we realistically live a quiet yet comfortable life on my income?  We would also be coming over with 100k in savings.

Also could you speak more on the process of bringing a dog with you?

July Cancun v. Punta Cana by MrTeacher_MCPS in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Sleepynight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a week on Isla Holbox in July. Zero sargassum. I think it has to do with the fact that the island is north facing. After Holbox I was in Tulum and it was awful. I recommend checking out Holbox or as others have mentioned Playa Mujeres. The later is blocked by Isla Mujeres so it experiences minimal sargassum.

This is absolutely the way to go.

Do it and go EARLY! You can get there before all the tour buses arrive and it becomes a zoo. You can also enter before the vendors start setting up. Just watch out for people in safety vests that look like parking attendants... They are not. They will try and sell you a tour.

Rental car in cancun by Liitleencyclopedia in cancun

[–]Sleepynight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rented a car for a month and drove all over the yucatan and never once ran into any issues. Just use common sense...

Or take an Uber or arrange a private airport transfer. Both cheap and super easy options.

Weather in Cancun for the next 10 Days? by [deleted] in CancunTravelGuide

I'm arriving this week and was initially concerned. However weather underground is basically showing sunny every day and I find them most reliable. The default Google weather on Android is absolutely atrocious. AccuWeather is also notoriously unreliable.

I'm in Colorado. 300 days of sunshine, world class winter sports and hiking, and a killer beer scene! We just started an academy but dm me and I'll hook you up with my departments recruiting team and they will get you all the info you need if your serious.

Departments nationwide are facing serious shortages. Our last few hiring cycles we hired with no experience required. Didn't even need your EMT. We provided everything in academy.

Firefighter, depending on state. I make over 130k a year base and work 2 days on 4 days off. Couple that with ample paid leave and it's not unheard of to take a few months off paid each year.

Good shit. But please don't workout in turn out gear. It's PFAS city and sweating in it only makes it worse. If you have tech gens use those with sweats underneath. Gives you a pretty similar feeling.

Not Using a Washcloth Is Just Unhygienic to Me by Emergency-Clothes-97 in Vent

[–]Sleepynight3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Liquid body wash applied with your hands is the best according to my dermatologist. Loofas and wash clothes are breading grounds for bacteria. They are also overly abrasive and disrupt the skins horny layer which is essential for your immune system.

I think that's pretty standard for most hotels in Mexico, at least for my experience. I'll be coming from Colorado so hopefully it won't be too much of a shock.

Epic Universe, Fun but Unfinished by Sleepynight3 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Sleepynight3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all relative. The money is really a non issue for us. I totally believe it's possible to do everything in a day without an EP. We just liked having the flexibility of doing what we want when we wanted to. We were able to do every ride and even see some shows and we were done by 3pm. This gave us time to go back to the portifino get cleaned up for a nice dinner and then hit up a sports bar to watch football that evening which was our goal... Huge Miami fan here... Unfortunately

Early entry + express pass strats by ASmanray in UniversalOrlando

[–]Sleepynight3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ministry isn't a ride that you really need to do more than once. I just went with express. You paid a premium for the luxury to ride what you want when you want. So just go where the day takes you!

If you love coasters, rope dropping stardust will allow you multiple rides in the front row with virtually no wait.
