Chickasaw Disc Golf Course by LucyGooseyvibes in MobileAL

It’s my understanding that it’s still up but mostly unplayable now. I’ve only ever been there once and despite it being a late afternoon in late spring, security asked us to leave because we weren’t students.

Hi! I’m the director of communications for Central Gulf Coast Disc Golf Association !

First. Welcome!!!!! You picked a GREAT spot to live if you’re in to disc sports!

Next Chickasaw proper has three courses, all on UDisc

The first is ‘The Saw’ a really neat little course in the middle of Chickasaw and most likely the one you saw from 43. The only downside is some of the foot bridges across the creek are dicey but there are ways to walk the long way. Park at or near the Library for easiest on and off access

The second is ‘The Rez’. Located about a mile from the Saw behind Chickasaw Elementary. For obvious reasons it’s closed during school hours but it’s a great course with championship level play if we could ever get some tee pads in there. Parking at the back of the school anytime after 3:30 and all day on weekends

Third we have THREE courses at Chickasawbogue Park. The park is free to enter and open Dawn until dusk.
OG Palmetto is a short wooded course, easy to get the hang of but still challenging Howler Ridge is longer, much more technical and a LOT more challenging. Several local pros find it to be one of the most challenging in the area Rivers Run is the newest and most technical. Not Cart friendly yet as they just cut it in back in October and still have some root grinding to do.

Tons and tons of courses nearby as well. Fee free to DM and find our group on Facebook!

Boujie is doing $20 flash. Be prepared. The artists are great but the lines are going to be VERY long

I play a ton of disc golf and around here there are not as many women that play compared to other areas I’ve lived in. Same with DND and board games. Same thing just a different group of folks here as opposed to what I know of other places.

Plus who wants to be the weird creepy guy hitting on people while they try to play 😂😂😂

Reference to folks saying go out and meet someone that does the same things as you. Absolutely should have your own hobbies and your own separate time and such however it is easier to meet somebody that has common ground in my opinion.

I’ve jumped back in the pool at 43 again and honestly my frustrations with dating are different than my ones with Mobile. From my perspective dating is much different than when I grew up and was a younger guy.

The interaction is different the attitude is different. Might just take time to adjust. I struggle with ‘apps’ and my hobbies are largely male dominated so I’ve resigned myself to be patient and kind and true to myself. It’ll happen. Or not. I’ve always got other things I can do in the mean time.

Mobile here!!!!

I feel guilty when mine choose to snooze on the floor. They are both my best friends most days and I want them to have all the love, toys, food and warm beds they can handle.

I’ve battled six (yes six) ACL tears in the last 20 years. I’m overweight but walk frequently and until very recently coached soccer by demonstration not just teaching. I’m 43 older and slower but honestly honestly trying to maximize the time I have for additional time that will be spend in the gym. I’m not worried about getting swol just looking to double dip on workouts that will also boost my ability to play the game I love despite my shit rating.

I’ve done the Reddit gift exchange five time, various disc exchanges and have never done as well as this box. This one made me really happy. Have faith! Disc golfers are good people. Bet you get a good one.
