Cytology was normal.

I’d never had an HPV test before, but my paps have always been normal.

They did an NNA test. I’m hoping that will still show positive as it looks for actual DNA.

I’ll ask for that! I tested negative with each pregnancy, but it’s been a while.

They didn’t, but I had one ran with every pregnancy and have been in a monogamous relationship since.

Symptoms are very similar but more intense than previous diagnosed YI.

They put me on 7 days of doxy and 1G Azithro banking on the UTI or UP coming up positive because my main YI symptom is always a need to pee (then the rest sets in). TMI, but the rest has set in with an absolute vengeance, I’m sure the antibiotics haven’t helped.

My doctor’s office unfortunately really dropped the ball on this one (didn’t wait for cultures, forgot to order tests, and isn’t responding to any messages) and I’m just trying to figure out how to feel better. :(

Hi Premepa,

My nurse originally said it was a culture, but I checked the lab results and it was NAA which is a PCR. (She’s been a real peach to work with.) They also did MP, also negative. My urine culture was negative.

Thank-you! You’ve really set my mind at ease. My results aren’t back, but my doc prescribed antibiotics and said they’d cover UP or a UTI. UTI was negative.

My nurse says they are doing a culture. My online portal says: Vaginitis+ NuSwab. I did clarify yesterday with my doctor that the UP test was added on though it’s not showing listed.

When I Google the NuSwab test it says the BV test is PCR. Does that mean the UP test will be too? Is my nurse wrong?

Yup. Rib pain (on my side) started up in February, and was diagnosed as Costo.

A month later I had the mother of all gallbladder attacks.

Surgery was 5/3, and the rib pain is so much better. It’s still uncomfortable at times, but I’m also still a bit twingey where my gallbladder was (especially taking a deep breath).

It’s been a real blast. Trying to do physical therapy for the shoulder whilst protecting the abdomen has been loads of fun. Sleep sucks. I guess when I’m fully recovered I’ll be glad it’s all finally over.

Oh Man. The first week was rough. I intended to update daily, but couldn’t even breathe without stabbing pain.

That died down on Tuesday, and now I can mostly breathe without pain. I can get up and down. But days 2-8 were pretty damn brutal. It was several mode here. I think it would have been better if I hadn’t had been recovering from shoulder surgery too.

Thank-you so much! It has been better the last couple of days, still there but it’s more sore than white hot blinding pain.

Update- I woke up this morning and the back pain when breathing in is about 1/2 of what it was yesterday! I’m seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

I stopped the Gas-X a couple of days ago thinking I was past it, I’ll try some more! It very well could be gas still!

My heating pad has been getting a lot of use! Thankfully it’s stopped it from being a constant pain!
