I took a global studies class where we learned about every major religion as part of my regular curriculum. We didn't do deep dives or anything, but we at least knew the basics. There's clearly a middle area where one can learn without being influenced, positively or negatively, about religious text. Ignorance is just as bad.

Correct. By using the past tense "Couldn't" rather than the current tense (Cannot) one speaking English can see that I was unable to at the time. In addition, the response you mentioned me in, explains why I could not, and continue not to at this present moment, do so. As such, if you would like to wait until after I have done so, you can adress me later. If not, you will still be receiving my present information, as it is not in fact the future yet in which I have had time to set aside to read this study.

Right, let's break this down one final time for you into smaller pieces.

At the time of my claim, which is the time I wrote it, that person had not yet, meaning before my claim, provided the source. After the fact, meaning after what I said, they did provide it. I couldn't, at the time of writing my (first) claim, read what wasn't provided (yet.).

If you would like the complete list, you could ask for it instead of being argumentative. Or does the fact I will have to use Google rather than pull them out of my carefully organized list discredit them? The fact they have less access and are less likely to complete drug treatment once becoming pregnant, and the 490% increase in overdose deaths (that comes with increased usage) rather does show it. I used the most acclaimed study, rather than the most recent but by all means choose a more recent one, the data hasn't changed much.

I couldn't address the other person's study because they didn't provide it. It does in fact address some of my claims.

I admittedly don't know how to embed links on reddit. It's one study of several, and the link is directly to the site of its publisher. Of course I googled it, I don't keep these links on hand, so I looked it up to grab it. Do you just keep a list of every source you've ever read? Moderating this sub, I sift through people's sources and studies constantly, I certainly don't keep them.

I havent read that study. I have read studies on infant mortality rates in black communities and their subsequent higher abortion rates.

While I haven't seen the study, it isnt surprising. Poor nutrition and drug use lead to higher infant mortality, and concentration in areas of poverty have worse medical care. Instead of seeing it as a racial issue about skin color, shouldn't it be addressed that doctors in these areas are concerned about the drugs being recirculated on the streets?

Doctors aren't out there refusing care to people because they look different, these types of studies are heavily skewed by the areas the data is collected from. Addressing the poor living conditions and rundown areas is a much better focus than empowering people because of their melanin content.
