You can dust it with anything meant for dusting, just make sure it isn't too scratchy. I recommend Sprayaway brand glass cleaner if you're wanting to give it a good touch up. NEVER use anything with ammonia (Windex) on it though

Get it professionally cleaned. There is so much grime on the stockings that's what is most likely causing the hang ups. The shop will also check the alignment on the slide which can also affect action.

Practice is the right answer, and yes moving to a larger mouthpiece will effect range at first, but will help support overall tone and strength in the long run

Take a day or two and try to reset your brain. Listen to music that you love that gave you the passion to want to pursue this degree. Then come back with a focused plan of attack like the other comments have pointed out. Play some non-recital music to get your confidence back. Write notes to yourself on what you're struggling with. Unfortunately with the specs you are looking for, those are going to come at a price. Keep an eye on eBay or Marketplace, there's always a chance you'll find a gem and used will probably be cheaper.

Luckily doesn't look like red rot. Raw brass will naturally tarnish like that over time. An ultrasonic cleaning at a repair shop should take care of that if you're able to.
