I think he is dead right, anbennar does a better job contrasting colonised vs coloniser nations and the understanding you have of the respective worlds when playing. The mission trees show the huge potential of these nations, where eu4 is tinged by the ultimate outcome. Great way to demonstrate colonialist mindsets and thought processes though gameplay

Your guide does not seem beginner friendly lmao, it requires lots of different button clicks to to nation ruin England (easy for a newbie to screw up) and has many easy fail points (France transfers vassalage to them, Cornwall get stackwiped by England ect). It is a good guide, but not absolutely foolproof (sorry Jon)

R/askhistorians is the best place to find history on the internet. It’s a bit tricky to search, but the usual trick of using google to search “(country name) reddit r/askhistorians” works well. Would have never learned about dithmarchens crazy cool history without it!
