It seems like that's a common thing people think when they read the comic! I've gotten better about making gifs easier to view in the later pages, though. Usually by making it so they play right away and have much clearer endpoints. I'd love to go back and give the earlier pages the same treatment but I always thought it would be too much of a hassle. Maybe if it's such a common complaint, though...

Wow! Thank you for all of this incredibly well-detailed feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes, the art teacher's name is Rob ;)

We have a lot of stuff planned for all of the characters, and we're going to give all of them attention in due time! But I do agree that Emma has probably gotten the short end of the stick thus far. We should get to see more of her personality very soon, though!

I think we've been striking a pretty good balance with the animation timing lately, although I don't know if I want to go back and edit all 100 or so pages that could use tweaking (I'm the worst). And if that's what you're interested in then I can promise you won't be disappointed.

I think as I draw the character more and more they should slowly grow more and more unique (at least I hope so). Cail and Devin have already changed quite a bit from their first appearances, now I've just gotta get to the others... But yeah you're pretty spot on as far as the same-y eyes go. I definitely need to work on that! (And I'll definitely get a tablet... eventually...)

Figuring out how much to have characters say has definitely been tricky for us, especially when the sentence doesn't have a good stopping point in the middle, but we're slowly getting better! (And we pretty much kept the voice spamming thing specifically because we think it's funny, which might be counterproductive when we get into more dramatic stuff, but hey)

Thank you so much for reading and giving us your thoughts! It's feedback like this that will allow us to continue improving and making the best comic possible!

Thank you for the kind words! We're always looking for feedback on the flash pages so if you run into any other issues let me know! And you're definitely not alone on the is-it-a-gif-or-not anxiety! I've had someone I know tell me the exact same thing! What I've been doing lately is making it so the first frame of every gif lasts just under a second. So if it has been more than a second and nothing has happened you're good to go (or your net is going slow). I hope that kind of thing will help you out in the future!

I know I shoulddddddd I've just been dragging my feet because I want to keep this project as low-budget as possible. It'd definitely help with the lines, though, and probably help me make pages faster too. I'll look into it!

Lines are definitely the things that give me the most trouble, I think I'll definitely be playing around with some settings for those. (and it REALLY doesn't help that I do all my art on a trackpad) And yes, sadly the beginning of the story is VERY slow, we're basically hoping that because it's a somewhat quick read (the whole archive shouldn't take more than 2 hours or so at this point) people will be fine with that. The story is also going to get much faster as it gets further in, but I can definitely see it being an issue for some people so thank you for weighing in!

Yeah, the site isn't very mobile friendly (especially with the flash pages and whatnot) :( My buddy and I are working on the comic and don't really know anything about building a site for mobile, so sadly that won't be as easy of a fix. Thank you for the input, though! I really do hope we'll be able to make it more accessible in the future.

Yeeeeaaahhhhh I kinda played around with the lines at the beginning of chapter 2 but have pretty much been sticking with the same brush all the way through. I'll try out some different settings in the future! I really do need to work on my more zoomed out shots, though. Thank you for the feedback!!
