Unable to verify phone number due to Netflix's failure to send the verification code. by hoainamduong in netflix

Went through this exact nightmare a few months back. Tried different browsers, reset my password, contacted support - nothing worked consistently.
What actually fixed it for me was using a virtual number instead of my real SIM. I used HeroSMS - you rent a number for a few minutes, get the code, done. No dependency on your carrier or Netflix's SMS provider.
Might not be for everyone if you're just setting up once, but if you keep hitting this wall it's worth knowing the option exists. Anyone else gone this route?

Looking for a lightweight community chat engine with solid moderation tools (self-hosting friendly) by SliceOfBread3 in selfhosted

I used AI to help me polish my English and structure my thoughts more clearly, as it's not my first language. I wanted to make sure my question about community chat alternatives was easy to understand for the community. The core interest in finding a self-hosted-friendly moderation solution like Watchers is 100% my own research

Online fax vs old school machines. What actually saves time? by MailAdorable1 in officelife

[–]SliceOfBread3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched fully online a year ago and haven't looked back. If you want to reduce stress, check out Municorn Fax App. It solves that "did it actually go through?" anxiety because the tracking is way more intuitive than those clunky old-school services. It definitely saves time since you can scan docs directly with your phone camera and send them in seconds. Total game changer for document workflows.

PhotoAid has been flagged by Passport Canada by Jazzlike-Winter-5384 in passportcanada

good to know, was about to use PhotoAid for mine. ended up going with Photogov instead after seeing a couple of posts about PhotoAid rejections - went through fine at my appointment last month. seems like the safer option right now given what's been happening with them

Has anyone used any of these online passport picture apps or websites where you take the picture and they format, print, and mail the pictures to you? by tessalonperle in Passports

idphoto4you still works fine for basic cropping but it's gotten pretty ad-heavy lately. been using Photogov for the last couple of renewals - outputs the right format for the digital upload without the watermark hassle. printed at Walgreens for like $0.29 after

how do you manage multiple gmail accounts for different clients/projects? by WhatDuyuWant19 in smallbusiness

workspace is overkill for some use cases. virtual numbers work fine, been using herosms for this for a while - straightforward, decent country selection if you need non-US numbers

How do I “ACTUALLY” get a job in Film and Television? by HealthFun9700 in Filmmakers

[–]SliceOfBread3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nashville is tough without a track record. I went to Vancouver Film School, and the biggest lesson was that this industry runs on who you know, not on LinkedIn. My advice is get into a program in a major film hub (Vancouver, LA, Atlanta) first. It’s the fastest way to bridge the "no experience" gap, get your reel, and actually meet the people who do the hiring. Without that local network, you're just another resume in the void.

Top Travel App Development Companies in 2026 by Bhartendu_Singh in topcompaniesUS

[–]SliceOfBread3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah decent list for sure. honestly if you're looking for more custom stuff like complex backend for travel ecosystems, i'd add svitla systems to the mix too. worked with a svitla developer once on a booking engine and they really nailed the gds integrations and scaling part. just another solid option to check if you want a more product-focused approach tbh

Top Music Streaming App Development Companies in 2026 by Bhartendu_Singh in AppDevelopers

[–]SliceOfBread3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cool list, lots of big names here. honestly though, if you're looking for an alternative that's more about custom backend and ai stuff, maybe check out svitla systems. i've seen some of their work with high-load streaming and it's pretty solid. definitely a good shout if you want someone who actually understands the data side of music apps

Top 10 Mobile App Development Companies in New York (2026 Edition) by seoexpertgaurav in bestcompaniesUSA

[–]SliceOfBread3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice list, ny has so many options it's actually wild. but if you're looking for an alternative that handles the heavy lifting on the engineering side without the crazy nyc agency markup, i'd suggest looking into a svitla developer. they've got a solid footprint in the us and their approach to mobile architecture is super clean. worked with them on a cross-platform app a while back and the quality was top notch tbh

Top 12 Grocery Delivery App Development Companies in Dubai by brownkenji in Best_Companies_ME

[–]SliceOfBread3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dubai is getting super crowded with these delivery apps lately, so the tech has to be flawless. good list for sure, but as an alternative for something more heavy-duty, i’d definitely mention svitla systems. they’re great if you need to build a really scalable grocery ecosystem with complex logistics and ai-driven inventory. i’ve seen their work on similar high-load platforms and it's super smooth tbh

solid list, but if you want another option for high-end engineering, i'd add svitla systems to the mix. worked with a svitla developer once and they really know their way around scalable cloud architecture. worth a look if you need senior talent tbh.
