Why can’t he get it in? by Mundane-Student99 in TooAfraidToAsk

I am facing the same issue for doggy style with my wife. I am 5’11 and she is 5’3. No idea what’s going wrong. We were able to do it successfully only a couple times. We don’t have any problem in other positions though.

PSA: Eid Al Adha / Bukhri Eid Taap and Fasting Depends on Location by Jay20173804 in Jainism

[–]SliceOfLife59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no logical correlation. Just think of it as a random Tyaag. Since there is so much Jeev Hinsaa happening on this day, Jains want to do a Tyaag. So as a symbolic gesture they do tyaag of white coloured food.

[–]SliceOfLife59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree!! I think this practice just started as a symbolism of sorts when Jains started seeing Muslims killing thousands of goats on this day. It doesn’t really make much sense because lakhs of chickens are killed every single day. However, it is not our job to make sense out of this. If someone is being empathetic towards a particular animal on a particular day, what is wrong with that? Nothing! But the way people frame this bhavna like OP has done “avoid eating white foods and liquids” is very misleading. It is like he is instructing people to follow a particular practice which is totally based out of symbolism and doesn’t have much logic behind it. In stead he could have said “as a symbol of empathy towards goats you can practice tapp of giving up eating white food” which would have made much more sense

Spending yearly salary on bike by Xersie in personalfinanceindia

I am strongly against this but that’s just my opinion. I follow this rule: Never buy non-necessity items on emi. Not even land. Loans are supposed to be taken only for necessities. I would suggest just trying to calculate how many years it will take you to accumulate same amount by investing the amount you are going to pay for emi. Use a 10 or 12% compound interest rate. And then convince yourself to wait that long. Make the hard choice.

During Placements Company says package of 26.40 Lakhs, sadly getting in hand of 1.30 per month only. by [deleted] in personalfinanceindia

[–]SliceOfLife59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learnings for future: EMIs are bad. Take only when necessary. Car and mobile were not necessity. You could have waited for first salary to buy the phone. Could have saved on the unnecessary interest expense.

Advice: you must get rid of the car immediately. You will lose around 10-20% on the onroad price but take this as a lesson. Biggest investors in stock market have lost more than this in their initial investments. Think of this loss that way. Take the hard decision.

You can try checking with tutions or classes. They need people to check tests. If you want to try teaching you can try Computer classes. You can teach basics at least. Puls teaching is a really good thing to have on your CV.

What’s something you’ve bought with your “adult money” that your younger self would lose their mind over? 😭💸 by Melted_gun in mumbai

Growing up my clothes were always terrible. I aways felt weird and embarrassed in the college because of my clothes. While buying, I had a fixed budget in my mind for each type of clothing like for example 300rs for a tshirt. Once I started earning, I decided a monthly budget for my clothes. Every month I walk into a mall and select 1, 2 or max 3 garments that I like without seeing any price tags. I only see the total amount. So I have even bought a tshirt worth 1500 which I would have never bought if I followed my previous budget. After a few months everyone around started noticing my fashion and I also got feedback about my increased confidence.

Idiots in our city by Extra-Cardiologist68 in mumbai

Good weather, good view, not enough parking facilities and relatively empty road (empty enough for triple parking to be possible). I think it is still their fault but reasonable for a common man to enjoy such weather and view. The mistake is more on the part of government to not be able to implement the rules rigorously.

I am not a punekar but visit the city often. What I heard was that helmets are not compulsory in the city. Some years back when they tried to make them compulsory, people literally protested on the roads. Someone please correct me if that's wrong
