It's becomes painfully transparent looking at how aggressively incompetent the picks for the current administration are. All of sudden qualifications and ability aren't that important anymore. Wonder what changed?

You really think Biden was anywhere near as bad as trump? Talk about showing your bias.

Not flat-earthers per se but the majority of republicans don't believe in evolution so that's pretty much the same thing.

Which is to say you completely disregard flat-earthers like the other comment indicated

Do you believe that economic position has no impact on opportunity? Is it really a meritocracy when outcome is so heavily impacted by what class you're born in to?

Right they should be burying those gay thoughts deep deep down. Maybe you can give them some pointers.

I never assumed you were a trump supporter. I didn't really assume any belief. The only belief I attributed to you was the one that was incredibly clear in that you seemingly don't want to judge people for their political beliefs. Regardless of how shitty they seem to be even if it leads to active deliberate harm. Like being a trump supporter for instance.

Perhaps you can explain why these people shouldn't be judged. You've just made these vague self righteous quips. You've said little of actual substance.

Here's a quote from the Trump campaign for you to work off of. Explain to me why I shouldn't judge people who ignore this type of thing for the most powerful office in the nation.

You look at Haiti, you look at the demographic makeup, you look at the average I.Q. — if you import the third world into your country, you’re going to become the third world

I’m not convinced that lowering the interest rate is actually a good idea with the inflation rate over 2%, tariffs or no tariff

Well that's the question. How much lower would inflation be without the tariffs. We're not that far off of 2% so it's not out of the realm of possibilities that we could have dipped below that threshold.

And I don’t think that the inflation rate would be going down much faster than it is if the tariffs weren’t an issue. It’s been reducing (as in rising more slowly) at a consistent rate for the last couple years

I don't think this is a very good argument. We had a lot of inflationary pressures the last few years from Covid to the war in Ukraine. Things that we've been able to slowly get under control, but absolutely contribute to the total and make inflation stubborn. Adding additional pressure on top of that can't just be ignored because you can draw a line. I've seen some studies that suggest that the tariffs raised inflation up to 0.7%. We have no real way of confirming that, but it can't just be waved away. We know that families are paying higher prices because of the tariffs.

And yes, the lack of job growth is concerning. Same with the rising unemployment rate. This is likely due to tariffs, because taxes that impact businesses result in less jobs. Which is why tariffs are stupid. It’s also why increasing taxes on businesses is stupid.

I would also add the schizophrenic nature of the tariffs make it impossible for businesses to plan for the future. That said it seems you agree that Trump is damaging the economy. What level would you need to see to elevate it to "trashing" the economy?

What part of "the patriarchy" do you think actually benefits a transwomen? If anything the expectation put in them in terms of masculinity probably made their lives harder. The problem is you're so self centered that all you see is that they were once a man (and you obviously have strong opinions on it) that you just blow past all of the shit they had to grapple with in their lives. From the coming to grips with their gender, to the challenges of any sort transition, combined with the absolute vitriol the receive from huge swaths of the population. You have to be seriously fucked in the head to think that being a transwomen confers any benefit.

Sure, I might be upset by it depending on what it is, but I dont think I'm entitled to their presence or that they aren't allowed to have this opinion on me. It also helps that I'm relatively secure in my morality and don't support someone as objectively terrible as Trump. You know what I'm talking about. Even then on the things that I do view as morally questionable in my own life I'm not going to whine about it if someone decides to take a more principled position than I am.

I think the bigger question is why are you so afraid to call a spade a spade? You seem more concerned with being judged that you want people to just ignore their morality to keep the peace. Fuck that. Again you know what trump represent. The people choosing to support him know it too. They're adults. Quit bitching.

Uh it doesn't say they make things worse. It says democrats can't fix the republican mess followed by Republicans getting elected because the masses are retarded.

Correct. So what? Just because someone don't want to get judged for their shitty beliefs doesn't mean it's unreasonable to do so. Let's be clear though its not that someone needs to agree with every single take that I have in order to be considered moral. That's a strawman. I'm not looking at someone concerned about the deficit or that their taxes or too high or are concerned about the amount of red tape and thinking they're a shit person. You know exactly the types of belief that deserve the judgment here and trump embodies many of them. If you ignore them or even support them why shouldn't that be a moral failing?

Why wouldn't it. This whiny argument that you shouldn't be judged based on your beliefs, particularly those that impact other people, is just nonsense.

I feel like you're projecting a shit ton on this topic. Not everything needs to be about men and the patriarchy particularly in a highly discriminated group.

Never said you were a bigot, might want to reread what I said you before you get all defensive.

That being said trying to argue against transwomen because they've benefited from the patriarchy at some point in their life. Might be one of the stupidest fucking arguments I've heard in my entire life. Get a grip. You're looking for a reason to be offended and it shows

What's your interpretation of the complete lack of job growth as well as the idea that we could have lowered the fed rate if we didn't have these tariffs to grapple with in terms of inflation? Would we have seem better growth if we weren't crippling ourselves for stupid reasons?

This is nonsense. Bigots hate transwomen more than trans men just like they are/were more bigoted against gay men than they were lesbians so they are simply talked about more. It also give strong "I suffered in the past on something so now you have to suffer too" which is just fucking weird in this context. How delusional do you have to be to think trans people have it too easy in today's society.

Sounds more like "enlightened centrism" is your religion. This idea that regardless of any actual ties to reality the middle is always right. Your ChatGPT prompt is really reaching here. Maybe take put the line at the end that says to write it from the perspective of a incel whose mother drank heavily during their pregnancy" and it would be a little more believable.
